Silver Gate Lodging offers 29 charming cabins of various sizes ranging from the more spacious and modern Silver Gate Cabins to the rustic Pine Edge Cabins to the smaller and even more rustic Whispering Pines Cabins. In addition to four other distinct cabins: the Annex, The Back Cabin, the Loft, and the School House, there are two larger houses available: The House at Pine Edge and the Amphitheater House. All cabins have an authentic and homey feel. The comfy beds and cozy down comforters are constantly praised by guests as a well-appreciated amenity. All cabins except two Whispering Pines cabins have kitchens along with dishware, utensils, and cookware to meet all the cooking needs of guests. For those wanting to grill outside, there are charcoal grills outside of every cabin along with porches or firepits to enjoy food, family, friends in the brisk mountain air. Since Silver Gate Lodging is so remote, there is no cell phone service whatsoever nearby, no internet service on site, and no televisions in the cabins. Guests, in reality, like it this way.
Wildlife abounds near Silver Gate Lodging. Within minutes is Lamar Valley which is one of the most sought after places in Yellowstone to view wildlife. And if guests want to view a magnificent mountain range, the Beartooth Mountain Range is an easy drive as you leave Yellowstone. Restaurant options and internet are available in the little town of Cooke City, a mere three miles from Silver Gate Lodging. Back at the property itself, there is a general store on site with basic food items, drinks, gifts, and supplies. There are even spotting scopes and binoculars for rent or sale to partake of all the wildlife viewing in the region. Located just a short stroll from the cabins is the Range Rider's Lodge which was once the largest log cabin in Montana. At the lodge, guests can play games or consume a beverage at the low-key bar which is open nightly from 6-10pm. The Amphitheater House is a private house removed from the other cabins. It has incredible views of the towering mountains nearby. The house can sleep up to 10 people. There are three bedrooms on the main level with one queen bed in each bedroom. There is also one queen bed in the loft and a separate bedroom upstairs with two twin beds. A deposit equaling a one night's stay will be charged on all reservations with your outstanding balance being charged on the morning of your arrival.
Canceling 30 days and out from your date of arrival, your deposit will be refunded minus a USD 35 processing fee. Canceling from 29 days to 16 days before arrival will be charged the entire deposit of one-night stay. Canceling inside of 15 days and no shows will forfeit the entire charge for the complete reservation. Canceling of multiple cabin rentals and long term stays will be dealt with on an individual basis.
Pets Policy:
$20 fee per pet per stay. Only well behaved pets.
House at Pine Edge and Amphitheater House have a multi-night minimum. Extra twin-size mattress free of charge but requires advance notice and the ability to fit extra bedding in the cabin. An additional cleaning fee will be charged.
