Saw big horn sheep both days on the mountain behind us. Our cabin was clean and comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked. WiFi at store only. We had no problem finding food in Silver Gate or Cooke City. Gas too. Yellowstone entrance at Lamar Valley is literally minutes. My only complaint was grass mowing, which they did on our 2nd day. I would not hesitate to book again.

It was a great experience and I wish we had stayed more than one night. The bed was so comfy and the surrounding nature is amazing with a front porch to sit on and take it all in. If you’re going on a tour with Silver Gate Guides then stay here and meet them right in front of your cabin!

Cozy Mountain Escape That Felt Like a Dream

Thanks to a kind recommendation from the owner of The Royal Wulff, we ended up at this beautiful lodge—and what a gift it was.
The moment we arrived, the warm, cabin-style charm and glowing fireplace instantly made us feel at ease. We spent hours on the porch, wrapped in blankets, watching foxes stroll by and taking in the breathtaking mountain views. The stillness of nature and the peaceful atmosphere were exactly what we needed.
It was the perfect unexpected ending to our adventure—calm, welcoming, and unforgettable.

Bison, Moose, Eagles, Wolves, Antelope, Bear & Rocky Mt. Sheep...we saw them ALL! 4 of these animals were in the cabin grounds. Well equipped, clean and cozy!

Thank you for an Amazing Experience!

Yellowstone Wildlife Tours, Silver Gate, Montana
We had the opportunity to go on Yellowstone Wildlife Tours with Katelyn. She is very passionate and knowledgeable about Yellowstone and the wildlife that live there. She took us to a carcass that allowed us to see Wolves, Coyotes, Grizzly Bears, Pronghorn and more. She explained their interactions between the various animals and provided details beyond what we were observing. She had a scope with a camera that made it easy to really view the animals. She connected with another tour guide to share a lesson on scat, tracks and more.
Katelyn would take the time to direct other tourist on where to look. She is exceptional at explaining where to focus to view wildlife with binoculars and cameras.
When we asked Katelyn about the best routes to view other areas and must see/do of Yellowstone, she gave us wonderful directions and options. Including which turn offs and hikes that were appropriate for our skill level.
We would recommend Katelyn, of Silver Gate Guides and Silver Gate Lodge for your next trip to Yellowstone. In fact we have already done that for several of our friends and family planning trips.
Thank you for an Amazing Experience!
