We stayed a night in their motel on our way to Yellowstone. The room was clean, check in was easy and the staff was very friendly and helpful. WiFi is only available in their office area. They use space heaters to heat the room and it was difficult to regulate the temperature in the room. The mattress on the bed desperately needs to be replaced. The curtains were very thin and didn’t completely cover the window. There was a coffee maker in the room but no coffee. When our neighbors shut their doors it was very loud. There were not enough outlets to recharge our phones. The shower head was loose and shot water all over the bathroom.

Last summer, I was lucky enough to stay for 10 nights at Silver Gate Lodging. It was a perfect home-base for my trip to Yellowstone, only 1 mile outside of the northeast gate near Lamar Valley. The cabins are clean and there are many options depending on your group size. It is extremely convenient having the General Store and Range Rider bar/restaurant on the property. At the General Store you can grab snacks, souvenirs and other essentials you may need. The Range Rider has amazing food and a Hemingway exhibit as Hemingway used to hang out in that very spot. Silver Gate Lodging even has their own guiding service, Silver Gate Guides, so you can plan a tour right there as well. The staff at Silver Gate were exceptionally helpful, going above and beyond to assist with trip planning. Their knowledge of the area and willingness to provide recommendations enhanced my overall experience. Whether it was suggesting hiking trails or sharing local insights, their hospitality added a personal touch to the stay, making it even more enjoyable. The proximity to numerous hiking spots and the breathtaking mountain views made it an ideal base for adventures. Overall, Silver Gate Lodging is a great place to connect with people, share stories and truly step away from the everyday grind and appreciate this beautiful place. Can’t wait to return.

Came here with my girl friends for a start to our summer and this trip was unforgettable!! The staff here was so accommodating and helpful, and they didn’t even roll their eyes at all of our silly questions LOL! Cabins were just what we wanted, soft beds and great kitchen amenities. The views were absolutely astounding and I’ll be staying here again very soon!

Staying at Silvergate Lodging was an unforgettable experience! As we are a family of four it's difficult to get away from all the hustle and bustle. But coming here we were really able to unplug and connect as a family. And the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and ready to help at a moment's notice. The cabins were cozy, clean, and well-equipped, providing all the modern amenities while maintaining a delightful rustic charm.

BEWARE! We reserved a cabin there for 8/23 and when we arrived, my friend started to cry. There was a big gap in the front door, we had to use utensils to hold the very small windows open, the screens were ripped, the bed had a large dip in it and the sheets were stained. We did get our money back and we asked them how they could charge the price they do for these places. They told us that they could charge that price because they are a mile from the gate. Someone should shut them down because no one should have to stay here in these conditions. This was a Whispering Pines cabin and we asked them if there was another cabin in better shape and they said the cabins were all basically the same.
