Yavapai Lodge is the park's largest facility and is nestled within woodlands approximately one half of a mile from the rim. With modern newly renovated rooms and many services within walking distance, this is a convenient place for families.
Yavapai Lodge is located next to the Market Plaza, which includes a general store, deli, bank, and U.S. Post Office. In addition, the Yavapai Lodge features a cafeteria that is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The gift shop has a wide range of gifts plus a transportation and activities desk is located in the lobby.
Yavapai Lodge offers 358 rooms that are laid out in ten single-story buildings known as Yavapai West and six two-story wood buildings known as Yavapai East. Most rooms in Yavapai West are compact with cinder-block walls, but they do afford guests the benefit of driving to the door. Yavapai East's units are larger, with a king and queen size beds and air-conditioning, and many enjoy views of the forest.
Here are some facts to remember when visiting the Grand Canyon. The South Rim averages 7,000 feet above sea level. Visitors with respiratory or heart problems may experience difficulties. All walking at this elevation can be strenuous. Remember to take precautions, stay in a group and bring plenty of water and sun protection.

A deposit equal to the first night's room rate, plus tax will be charged at the time of booking.
All reservations may be changed or canceled at no charge by 4:00 pm MST 2 days before the scheduled arrival date. Please note that changes to the reservation will be subject to availability and any rate differences.
Pets Policy:
You must accompany your pet(s) at all times and they must be on a 6-foot leash (1.8 meters). Guests must clean up after their pets. Pet refuse bags are available in your room as well as outside Building 9. Pets should not be left alone in the room, but if they are, they must be left in the kennels provided in the room. The pet-friendly rooms are in Yavapai West Building #9 only. Pets are not allowed in any of the public buildings throughout the property except your guestroom. You are responsible for any damage or inconvenience that may be caused by your pet(s) to your assigned room or any other part of the property damaged by your pet(s). Dogs must be attended to ensure they do not disturb other guests. A $25 Pet Fee, per night for up to 2 dogs will be charged upon arrival.
Rates Policy: Rates are based on double occupancy. Each additional guest age 13 or over is an additional $12.00 per night. Rollaway beds are available for $10.00 per night.
