Relaxing location right on Virgin River, walking distance to the market and Zion Park. You can't get any better than this location for food, adventure and peace. The check-in was so welcoming, the gentleman was overly nice and we saw him at all hours of the day the entire trip. Not sure he ever slept, and he was always busy making sure the hotel was in tip-top shape. Our room was suite 123, right on river with a huge patio with chairs and a sofa. They provided fire wood and grills were randomly placed on the grounds. You could go with wood or propane grilling. All of this in the shadow of Zion! Very nice pools and hot tub, and good restaurant. We had dinner the first night overlooking the pool, and service was very good - I had the salmon & loved it! Small but decent wine selection. Comfortable beds and well-equipped bathroom with separate tub and shower. The room was a little dated, but who cares when everything else is rocking!

2 nights at way over priced motel

We have stayed at a wide range of different quality level hotels so it is pretty easy for us to compare amenities with pricing. Although the location and the bedroom was really nice, our one bedroom suite was lacking in amenities associated with high-end hotels. These are little things but when you're paying top dollar for a room you expect them to be there. For example, there were no towel racks in the bathroom and there were no hooks to hang the robes on. There were no premium channels on the cable. The shower was tiny, the toilet out in the open, and the lighting over the vanity was very strange. There was no mention that the restaurant was closed due to Covid. The living room was very dark and the furniture uncomfortable. Having said that, the staff was friendly and the grounds were nicely maintained. Save hundreds of dollars and book elsewhere.

Very Expensive, and not up to snuff.

Contrary to the sister hotel in Moab (The Hoodoo), this hotel was not a find. We had a suite, which was nicely appointed, and the staff was friendly. Great location. But for the $700/nite, inc taxes, more could be expected. Again, we asked for housekeeping, and no one showed up. When we tried to call for help, no one answered the phone; so, I walked up to the office for clean towels and more coffee pods. Our first of three nights, the restaurant was not open. (Luckily, our guide had made reservations at the wonderful Switchback Grille - see review.) The second night it was open, but no one answered the phone after we returned following a very long day. So, I walked to the desk and personally ordered dinner. Upon delivery, the order was messed up (although quickly fixed), but the food was mediocre. Somewhat saved by the lovely view from our balcony. We would not go back.

I hqve only the highest praise for the team at Cliffrose. Every single staff member we encountered was wonderful. The grounds are exquisite and the view of The Watchman is incomparable. Although the building themselves are old, the interiors have been updated and are quite comfortable. We ate almost all of our meals on our patio, since there was no better view in town.

This hotel is wonderful. The property is beautiful with the river running through the back. The grounds were constantly being kept. There were two separate areas with pools and hot tubs with amazing views of the canyons. The location can not be beat. Perfect if you’re going hiking in Zion National Park. You can walk right into the main entrance from the hotel. Arnold gave us a great guide to exploring Zion before we arrived. He was extremely resourceful.
