Cockroaches!! AND THEY KNOW IT!!!
We stayed for 3 nights at the Driftwood Lodge in Springdale UT while visiting Zion National Park. The first 2 nights we saw small bugs in the bathtub - ok, not a huge deal as it is the desert and a very old, run down building (an old strip motel building). Killed the bugs, which were coming out of the wall between the tile and bathtub. Didn't realize they were cockroaches until the morning we went to check out and picked up our bag of snacks which was on the floor by the fridge. That's when we saw 6 big cockroaches in our snack bag!!! I went to the office and spoke to the "General Manager" Alice (no last name available even though we asked!). She said - yes, we have bugs and we spray every month, and also spot spray between. I say BS! She said that if we leave our door open the bugs will come in. No, we did not leave our door open and we saw them coming in thru the gap in the tile and tub! She also had the bad taste to ask where I was from - when I told her NY, she said, well, don't you have cockroaches there? WTF? Yes, BUT NOT IN MY HOUSE!!!! It took quite a conversation before she would grace us with the menial 20% discount granted for us being "unsatisfied". This was one of the worst experiences I have had staying in a hotel - and I stay in a lot of them! Do yourself a favor and find a better class of hotel (not an old converted strip motel) to stay in!! This place and their staff are TERRIBLE!!!!

Driftwood Lodge Zion
Absolutely delightful facility, with spectacular views of the Canyon! Amenities are generous, rooms are spacious! Love the walk in shower! Love the Keurig with gourmet coffee pods! Convenient multi-outlets for crystal clear Wifi! Love water glasses (not plastic)! Love the patio and Adirondack chairs! Convenient to shuttles!
Can’t wait to visit again!

We stayed here for 4 nights in a very spacious 2nd floor room with a nice balcony and river view. Room was very clean. The pros were the quiet location, excellent (but pricey) onsite restaurant, cleanliness and accommodating staff. The Zion shuttle stop #7 is right at the front. There was a nice pool and an $8 breakfast voucher for Oscar’s that was very good. There was a pool and whirlpool onsite that we didn’t use but appeared nice. Because (I guess, 3 weeks prior) of the time we booked, we could only get the 2 queen room at >300/night for 2 which was very expensive. With so many people traveling domestically during the pandemic, I guess that’s what the market will bear. Nevertheless in the future I’d stay again (at a more reasonable rate)

Zion Paradise with Reason!
My husband and I stayed at Driftwood Lodge for 3 nights as we spent our time in Zion National Park. It is an ideal location..close in proximity, yet not in the noisy section of massive hotels. I loved staying at Driftwood..the staff were in touch with Covid protocol... , facilities were clean. Due to 2020...for breakfast we had the choice of a $8.00 Voucher for the scrumptious breakfast at Oscar's Cafe- 1/2 mile away. Because the units have a Keurig, Microwave, and refrigerator,.we used the voucher for 1 morning. The views from their location is picturesque and inviting..one can not ignore the delightful place to relax and dine after days of long hikes. We hiked the Narrows Virgin River, Pa'rus Trails. , Watchman Trail, Angel's Landing, Emerald Pools. and Grotto Trails. My husband and I LOVED our nightly meals at the best restaurant in town..Red Rock Grill...It is on sight at Driftwood, and I had the best fresh fish ever, and my husband loved his entrees. We loved it and would highly recommend this wonderful Zion paradise...

This was a nice hotel in Springdale and It took about ten mins to get to the Zion entrance itself and right outside of the hotel was a free bus to get there. Pretty convenient if you don’t want to leave your car at the city center. The room itself was spacious and the bed was an A+. The pillows too. My wife and I slept so well each night. Right next door is a nice restaurant called Kings Landing so that was nice if you can’t decide a dinner option. Keep in mind that the restaurants around the area always have a wait.
I’d stay here again. The view is awesome too.
