Very quaint and clean. Pillows super comfy. Excellent water pressure. Purchased the breakfast buffet for breakfast, which was delicious and plentiful. Lots of movie buff history as many old movies were filed in this town, several at the Parry Lodge itself, with much of the cast and crew staying on grounds. Tons of photos on the walls.

Really enjoyed our stay at Parry Lodge while in the area to hike The Wave. The staff was exceptional from our check in on Sunday afternoon 2/25 to checking out a couple of days later. Each staff member we encountered was cheerful, helpful and a great representative of the business. We ate breakfast there both mornings and everyone was happy with their food ,and again, the service was exceptional. We've got our landing spot next time we're in the area, Thank you again to everyone that served us. You guys were awesome. :)

Great meal, ambiance and service at the restaurant at the Parry Lodge. We were welcomed warmly and given some history of the many Hollywood celebrities who have stayed there during filming of Western and other classic movies. Food and service were great in a neatly appointed, period decorated dining room with white table cloths. Homemade pound-cake with mulled fruit for desert was very good. Neon sign evokes the image of classic 50's/60's hotels of the day. Great experience and will go back for the homemade apple pie, which they had run out of the day I was there. .

Parry Lodge - a perfect location for old westerns and a base to visit the national parks nearby!

This was truly a delight. A charming, historic lodge complete with the essence of the movie stars who stayed here and made it their base while filming classic western movies in the 50s and 60s. It was truly like going back in time. The room we stayed in was a bit small for 4 people (as was the bathroom), but that did not ruin the experience at all. You can even walk through the open-air lot to see where the likes of John Wayne, Frank Sinatra and other silver-screen giants stayed. The staff were very knowledgeable and even offered us (and the other guests) a film viewing in the barn out back with a documentary of the history of Kanab and the Lodge. There is a good-sized pool, great for families and even fire pits to stay warm at night - perfect for mingling with other guests. Finally, the breakfast buffet did not disappoint! Very affordable for an all-you-can eat buffet with freshly made food. Absolutely fantastic!

Older but charming

The larger newer hotels in Kanab are getting more expensive, over the years we've stayed in various hotels in Kanab and it's difficult to pick out one from the other (they've all been fine) so it really comes down to price. This motel/hotel is one of the older ones but is well maintained and come with all the character and history of the famous people who used to stay here many years ago. The beds creak like an old galleon ship but didn't bother us (we found it more amusing). The breakfast buffet is really good and probably the best in Kanab - not many other options in Kanab (shame they don't have an offer to bundle in breakfast when booking in advance). We would have liked to see an old movie in the barn theatre but we didn't get the chance as we were visiting friends in Kanab.
