Great Hotel Choice in Gardiner

We were so happy we chose this hotel for our stay in Gardiner. We had a room with a kitchenette, which was handy. The room was clean and well furnished, with more kitchen supplies than we expected. The best part of our stay was the incredible view! We sat on the balcony for breakfast each morning and drinks in the evening, just to relax and enjoy the mountain view, spotting wildlife through binoculars, and even a few elk in our parking lot each morning! The location was excellent, we could walk everywhere we needed to in Gardiner and the entrance to Yellowstone was right on the edge of town.

The hotel is in need of updates. I could hear the people walking above us and the water in the pipes. Needless to say, I did not have a very good night's sleep. The hotel/room was clean but the lighting was poor and bed wasn't the most comfortable. Staff was friendly during check in. The location is great. It is a couple minute drive from town where there are shops and places to eat. The Roosevelt Arch and the Northern Entrance to Yellowstone is also less than a 5 minute drive. I saw Elk at the Gardiner Baptist Church which is right next to the hotel. You can also walk to a few restaurants and a grocery store. I booked through a 3rd party website and the price was incorrect- I owed more. It was frustrating because staff said this was a reoccurring problem but they hadn't reached out to the company. I would go back only because of the location.

Very good value hotel for the area. Double queen room had all the features needed for 4 adults to be comfortable. Very clean room/grounds. Wildlife seen from balcony every morning/evening of our stay. Short drive (3 minutes) into Yellowstone National Park. Walking distance to food and shopping. Welcoming and friendly staff. Housekeeping available daily, just ask!

My family stayed at the Yellowstone Big Rock Inn after flying into Bozeman. We wanted to stay close to the park to go to Lamar Valley early. The staff was helpful. They accommodated our late arrival and everything was ready for us just as I’d requested. The view from the hotel balcony is great and there was an elk in the parking lot when we arrived. Bonus!!

Just ok

The room was adequate size and clean. The staff was friendly and location was great! The view from our room was beautiful and beds were very comfortable! The hotel is very noisy. Our first night we were exhausted from a 2:45 wake-up for our flight. We attempted to go to sleep early but could not due to the constant noise. That was with a sound machine going to drowned out the noise. I think it was coming from metal chairs being moved around on lower balcony. There was a maybe a school group staying and they weren’t doing anything wrong it was just loud. Actually they were very well being behaved. That said I think noise just travels terribly because this is an older hotel. So bring your sound machine if you are a light sleeper.
