Check in staff (and signage posted inside our room door) emphasized no smoking, vaping, etc in room or on the deck outside each room’s door. But, at 9:05pm someone started smoking pot until 11pm. I called the front desk, and no one answered and then I remembered that no one was at the front desk. The smell of pot was disgusting and strong. I could not tell where the smoker was and I needed to sleep after a long day of traveling. I did not deem this incident to be an emergency. At 7am the next day, no one was at the desk and there were several guests waiting outside the door to check out. I couldn’t wait and just left ours keys in the key drop. The moral of the story is: Don’t stay at a hotel/motel/lodge when the front desk in not manned 24 hours. A lot can happen after 9pm.

We could hear someone briefly yelling at their kids to pipe down in another room but otherwise quiet enough and we slept fine. When anyone rolled their luggage on the balcony, it sounded like an airplane taking off so a bit loud. Not quite walkable but a few really good eating options and some shopping only a few minutes down the road and parking was not a problem. The lobby was nice. The staff was very friendly. There’s free coffee etc. every morning in lobby. They left our room keys for us after hours. Clean. Pricing was reasonable. Stunning sunset. Black towel for removing makeup was thoughtful and cute touch.

Ok, but not worth the price

Actually, in our month long vacation, this is the most expensive hotel we have. It is a big room with big balcony but not worth $252/night. You are convenient to downtown but there isn't much shopping there. If you're visiting Yellowstone, just plan for another town.

Room was clean and smelled nice. Had mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot in room. Loved having room on ground floor. Checkin was easy and lady was friendly and gave suggestions for dinner. If in the area again would definitely stay there.

Great Hotel Choice in Gardiner

The room was clean and well furnished, with more kitchen supplies than we expected. The best part of our stay was the incredible view! We sat on the balcony for breakfast each morning and drinks in the evening, just to relax and enjoy the mountain view, spotting wildlife through binoculars, and even a few elk in our parking lot each morning! The location was excellent, we could walk everywhere we needed to in Gardiner and the entrance to Yellowstone was right on the edge of town.
