I am very disappointed. No room cleaning, no breakfast, only access to the pool once in 2 days and only at 10 pm at night. And no discount? That’s crazy. And the night guy was flat out rude to my hubby. My hubby likes everyone and is very patient. He didn’t like the guy who checked him in. I feel VERY ripped off!

Need a second elevator

We stayed in a family suite on the 3rd floor. We had to use the elevator when we arrived to take our luggage upstairs. After waiting for a few minutes an employee came out of the elevator with several bags of trash. Liquid from the trash stayed on the elevator’s floor when he left and the elevator stank. The elevator stopped on the 2nd floor and an employee with bottles of shampoo wanted to enter the elevator. He smelled the elevator and decided to use the stairs. When we arrived at the 3rd floor an employee with carts of towels was waiting to use the elevator. There does not seem to be an elevator for staff and housekeeping keeps supplies by the elevator. We tried to use the elevator one more time and had a similar experience so we gave up and used the stairs. The room had 2 beds and in a separate room there was another bed. One bathroom as you enter the room. The setup could have been better if the bathroom was in the middle because if people in the master bedroom need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night they wake up those in the main room. Also, someone decided to place the smoke detector with a fairly bright light over one of the beds which made sleeping difficult. Wallpaper was coming off the wall. The room needs to be updated. The vent in the bathroom was extremely noisy. I found the room somewhat gross. In addition, I thought that the town was too touristy. Next time we’ll start our Yellowstone adventure in a different town.

Big clear signs on how they are being careful with COVID-19. Awesome— hand sanitizer!! They are so sanitized they threw customer service out the window. I am paying full price for just a bed and bathroom. While never beneath me, we had to make our own beds, throw out the trash, go and find fresh towels, not have access to the very limiting and random pool appoint process, the gym, or even morning coffee. But that is not the worst part. The worst part was the poor customer service from their front desk staff. I get we are in odd times, but this is when you have to flex your customer service muscles and be fans of your guests—not that they acted with indifference and rude attitude! The part that hits me the worst is that one of the reasons why we chose this hotel was for the pool. A great way to get two boys to cool off and chill after long days at Yellowstone park. But we ended up not being allowed to reserve despite the pool barely having full usage. I checked multiple times during any of the given “fully booked” pool times and found that we could have had access despite the front desk saying it was booked. A waste and two really bummed out boys. I run multi- million dollar operations and am familiar with what it takes to serve customers. There are so many “you could’ve dones” and still have a chance to do. But I have lost faith as it seems that management must be blind to the effect this is having on your guests. I’ve been an IHG member for years and this is worse overall experience ever. I will be sure to tell world. From a veteran and experienced hospitality professional, I am alerting you, that it will be best that anyone looking to stay in West Yellowstone put their time and money elsewhere. This Holiday Inn is not going to deliver! If you wish to contact me to discuss, reply and I will oblige.

Our stay was between 21 - 25 June. The restaurant was still closed for Covid. We had a great stay. It took us an hour to get to Old Faithful, an hour to Mammoth Hot Springs. The hotel is within walking distance to various restaurants and tourist shops. The hotel is not new but it is clean and the beds were comfortable. The only thing I did not like was the sink was outside the bathroom that is the only issue for me.

Would usually say Holiday Inns are great . But to book a room at triple the rate have non of the amenities available it’s not. Nothing on any site states the restaurant and bar are closed . Doesn’t suggest you would have to make a reservation to use pool and the time frame you can forget about it. So you have booked a $400 dollar non refundable room with nothing else . Not cool COVID or not should be mentioned!
