The Ridgeline Hotel At Yellowstone

Overall a pleasant stay

The hotel was very clean with a free car park, strong WiFi and very convenient for the local shops and restaurants. The room was large with a comfortable bed and an excellent shower. The outside seating with the fire pit was lovely and the free indoor pool and hot tub with towels provided again excellent. Very close to the entrance to the Yellowstone National Park (a few minutes drive) not particularly cheap and whilst I am sure some rooms had excellent views ours faced a wall as did the room used by other members of our family.

Nice location. Very dated building. Plesant staff.

Published Date: Aug, 15, 2025 Travel Date: Aug, 1, 2025 Rating: 3 Very "dated" building/rooms. The room was spacious but needs updates like the air conditioner (fan ticks a few seconds after shut off, annoying when sleeping}, everything about the tub/shower needs updated, sink faucet, room carpet. Horribly spotty wifi throughout the building, lost connections so many times I gave up.
Positives: Pool was nice for the kids, hot tub (outside) for adults was nice, a relaxing fire pit outside. They offer guests a refillable water bottle with a cold filling station in lobby as well as coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in the lobby. They also offer "free" smores packs for the fire pit....but they also charged a $15 amenities fee so I feel we kinda paid for the lobby stuff.
Overall the staff was friendly, but I started to hear them talk and believe they have a lot of staff turnover.
If you are traveling to Yellowstone, they are very close to the North entrance.
If I was returning to the area, I would probably try another hotel (even though they try to call this place a "resort", it's a hotel).

Fine

It was fine for a night and the beds were comfortable but the room was overall outdated. Our room faced a glorious brick wall, which was like 3 inches away from the window, so why even put a window there I do not know.
I thought it was quite overpriced for basically a motel room, plus they charged a $15 amenities fee (like they are some kind of resort, but who are we kidding this is a motel), which should really be just built into the price of the room instead of outraging other patrons as a separate fee because there is no breakfast or anything.
I liked that they had a water bottle filling station and the location is unbeatable at just 5 minutes away from the north entrance of Yellowstone.

The beds were extremely comfortable, rooms were clean and well equipped. A lot of fun amenities from the bicycles to the fire pit and s’mores at night time. Our room had a nice view of the river and elk were precariously wandering through town which was kind of different.

I informed the hotel in advance and reached out several times – but received no response whatsoever. Only after leaving a negative review on another platform did the hotel respond, promising a partial refund – which never happened.
Since then, I’ve received two generic and evasive emails, stating that the person I am trying to contact is “currently unavailable.” This is not customer service – it's indifference toward guests with a legitimate concern.
The hotel’s conduct has fully confirmed my negative impression. They kept the payment for a service they did not provide, refused to take responsibility, and simply avoided any meaningful communication.
I will continue to share this experience on other platforms and have already contacted consumer protection authorities. If you value reliability and professional service, I would strongly advise considering alternative accommodations.
