Ridgeline Suited Us
Our three generation family stayed in the Garden Suite on the first floor for five nights. Very roomy. One bed , TV, and other furniture s in each bed room and a pull out couch in front room which was comfy. Two bathrooms. One bathroom fan noisy and went on with lights, but worked well. Kitchen and eating area large and front room with desk and TV, end tables, etc. gave us room to spread out. We were next to the office and found staff helpful for any minor problems and the desk manager gave us helpful hints about Yellowstone Park. Breakfast was a meal in a bag due to Covid but very adequate. We did our laundry there (free!) and the swimming pool was fine.. No special view from out rooms but not needed. Could see Yellowstone River by hotel deck overlooking the river and pretty view from outside chairs on the large covered area by office. It was about five -ten minutes to get into Yellowstone Park. We tried to leave early. The last day we left there was a mule deer and an elk in the parking lot. We made a visit to West Yellowstone and saw LONG lines to get into the park and a lot of congestion. So glad we picked Gardiner as out location and the Ridgeline Hotel at Yellowstone.

Property not as described
We were very surprised this was an Ascend property. The hotel did not meet the criteria for an Ascend property. At best this hotel was on same level as Quality Inn. We booked our room based on the photos on line. When I inquired about the room at the desk I was told they are in process of updating the pictures to reflect the actual rooms. The photos showed a very nice room with log beds and nice furnishing. Even the outside of the hotel was ran down and uninviting. Just a small sign by the road-we drove by two times looking for the hotel. Upon check in Aug 22 the young man at the desk was very rude and gave us a negative impression of the hotel. I had called ahead to request early check in as we are diamond platinum members. I was told that was not possible. He did not even ask our name or check to see if our room was ready. I explained we had called ahead to request an early check in and we were platinum members. He then became even more rude and arrogant. We booked a queen suite with full kitchen. We were so disappointed in our room. The mountain view was nothing but construction. The water was barely warm enough to shower. The water was not warm enough to wash our dishes. We did not have room service/housekeeping the entire five days. Breakfast was very limited with signs you were only allowed to take one of each item in the refrigerator. For the price I would go next door to Comfort Inn. Very poor experience. The rooms are very plain and mundane especially after we were expecting a room as shown/described when booking. Our suite with full kitchen did not even include and oven. I would not recommend this property. Very over priced and outdated not to mention the poor customer service

Great for Yellowstone North Entrance
Obviously the main draw to the hotel is the location minutes from Yellowstone's north entrance. The hotel is located in Gardiner's main road, which conveniently has many stores, restaurants, bars, etc, that are located walking distance to the hotel.
I was assigned a room on the ground floor facing the river, The view and sound of the river was nice. The layout is more like a motel, where you can park in front of room and do not have to go through lobby or use elevator like a traditional hotel.
There are fire pits and outdoor seating. I was told there is an indoor pool, although I did not use it.
The room was clean and comfortable. Spacious, and in good shape. The bed was super comfortable, and I slept like a baby. The room has a coffee machine, minifridge and mini microwave.
Breakfast was very simple, it is free, but consisted of pre made sandwiches and packaged food. Honestly it could be better, but I was told it was like this due to Covid.
Overall a good stay while visiting the amazing Yellowstone.

Nice place in a nice place.
Nice place. Easily accessible from Yellowstone. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Easy walking distance to restaurants. Bar right next door if you want to stay out late within walking distance. Staff is knowledgeable and gave us good info.

Great staff, comfortable stay
Just outside of Yellowstone National Park, The Ridgeline Hotel was a convenient location. Minus the bugs that lurked around at night (hence 4/5), overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. So the bugs... in the evening you would need to quickly enter/exit your room, they'll fly in real fast.
We had a room with a river view, the sunset every night was gorgeous from our room or from the chairs they have next to the cliff. The room is spacious and clean! The staff at the hotel are super friendly, patient, and helpful. I definitely want to give a shout out to Pamela who works at the front desk! She worked the evening shift during my stay, so she checked us in and became my go-to person for anything I needed or for recommendations. She always had a smile on her face and a great attitude!
