It is an older property, and the rooms have been renovated. They are clean and have basic amenities. The rooms are dark, and need either a desk lamp or a floor lamp. Breakfast was poor, even on BW's not high scale.....limited selection, burnt scrambled eggs. Staff is friendly and seem to care. There are probably better properties in Cortez.

Filthy room, towels, sheets, sink, and tub. Abundant pet hair. Dirty socks on floor. Yellow and brown stained sheets and quilt. Hair and soap scum in sink and tub. Non-functioning shower, ice machine, fireplace, window screen torn and didn't fit. Disgusting. No smoke detector. Did not meet basic standards.

This is an older hotel, but our room was in a newer section. The room was spacious, front desk staff were great, beds/linens were comfortable, breakfast was lacking in quantity. The food employee could not keep the coffee & food supplied for the guests. It was a slow process to cook eggs & replenish coffee. Other food items were lacking or not as we expected of BW.

Malika was not friendly during the check-in process. The pool was green and the size of a typical hot tub, and it smelled like mold. We finally got to the room to find one of the jets in the jetted tub was broken, and the bottom of the tub had cracks. There was also hair and dirt were on the bottom of the tub. I always pull off the comforter to make sure linen looks clean, only to find a pee stain. I'm not so sure they were even clean or changed. After being in the room less than 5 minutes, we went back to front desk and she gave us another room, which was a downgrade, and she refused to adjust the price because I booked through a third party. We left and stayed at another hotel nearby.

Arrived later in the afternoon and they were able to give us not only a handicapped accessible room but an actual handicapped accessible room! Not just a room with one tiny grab bar in the bathroom and “let’s call that accessible.” Very nice receptionist at the front desk, friendly and helpful. Our room was large, clean and very quiet. The breakfast was very good with all the usual hotel breakfast items, yes that is a good thing. Many handy restaurants and stores within walking distance. Would stay here again and we would not hesitate to recommend to others.
