We went to Zion national park and stayed overnight at the Holiday Inn express, and lived every moment. The property is clean, safe and has an outdoor fireplace where the family is able to gather round and watch the stars. The only thing missing was marshmallows (no fault of the hotel!). There is breakfast included and the family loved the pancake maker. There are a few restaurants within walking distance from the hotel, and plenty of hiking trails near the hotel. We will definitely come back and stay a bit longer and explore all the different hiking trails! Thank you for the warm welcome and lovely stay!

Pros: Great location with wonderful views out the backside of hotel and breakfast area. Nice deck areas with seating and fire pits. Friendly and helpful staff. Cons: Older guest rooms. Not enough lighting in rooms--dark. Standard rooms are small, making it a wee bit cozy for our family of four on a 11-day road trip.

Husband and I stayed here for 4 nights whilst hiking at Zion National Park. The hotel looks lovely and views of Zion Park are spectacular - as is the way right along the main street. Staff are super friendly and check-in was straight forward. Our room had 2 king beds, large fridge (which we unplugged at night due to noise), TV with netflix option and coffee maker - for those wanting tea there is hot water in breakfast area 24/7. There is also an Iron and hairdryer. The beds were very comfortable. The window does not open which was a bit disappointing but there is AC. I asked for a quiet room which it was after about midnight. We could regularly hear guests in adjoining and upper floor rooms. On Friday night the restaurant which backed onto our room had a disco which went on late. Breakfast is buffet style with cereals, eggs/bacon (changes daily), bagels/toast, coffee (no barista types), and was plenty for us to start our day. One member of staff in breakfast area was super friendly and a real joy in the morning - sorry dont know her name but very bubbly. There is no restaurant/cafe/bar. There is a small sundries shop where you can buy some drinks/food/essentials. The hotel is located next to shuttle bus stop number 6. The stops count down to number 1 at the park. At this time of year the shuttle (Springdale to the Park) starts at 0800 hrs and finishes at 1900 hrs. The shuttle starts at the park at 0800 hrs so doesn't reach the hotel until about 0815. We only used the shuttle to get to the park on day 1 as it took us about 30 mins to walk and it is a pleasant walk in the morning. Likewise, we walked home most afternoons. After stop number 6 the bus gets very busy so this end of the town is a good place to get on if you want a seat in the morning. We tried to get to the park early as the queues for the in park shuttles can get long, maybe 30 mins or so. We ate at a few restaurants, all a bit pricey compared to UK. Our favourite was Pizza and Noodles restaurant which was best value and very big servings. For our morning lattes, the little Perks coffee shop at the park entrance did the best barista coffees. For Groceries we went to Sol Foods Supermarket which had most things we needed. We also did laundry at Parks Laundry near to the supermarket. Would I stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Springdale again.. hmm not sure. There are so many quaint little hotels in town I think I would maybe have a closer look at those next time.
