The hotel was under construction. We were not made aware of this before we arrived. A heads up would have been nice so we could have attempted to find other accommodations. I even called a week before we arrived to confirm our reservation and nothing was mentioned about the construction. Our stay was simply unacceptable. Everyone we have shared the story with has also found it unbelievable. The hotel check in was in a trailer. Breakfast was a granola bar, yogurt, orange, and jimmy deans breakfast sandwich put in a white paper bag that we had to pick up at the trailer. We had to use a small Keurig in the trailer to make our coffee in the morning. It was nasty. To get to the pool was a hike, which made it unappealing. Our room was in an auxiliary building (that wasn’t being renovated, but needed it) which had no elevator. The hotel employees/ladies in the trailer offered to carry our luggage up to our second floor room, but I declined. I am an able bodied male and wasn’t going to make them carry all of our stuff. It was the last night of our week long trip so we needed everything carried up so we could repack for the airport the next day. We enjoyed our day at Zion National Park, but unfortunately our hotel stay was a swing and a miss. We were looking forward to going back to the hotel to relax after hiking all day, but it was any but relaxing. We paid full price for awful accommodations. It’s crazy that we booked a stay based on pictures and amenities that we never got. There was no offer to reduce the price of our stay. They could have offered breakfast vouchers to eat at a nearby restaurant, but they didn’t. They could have tried to do anything to offset the ridiculous situation, but they didn’t. It was truly unbelievably bad experience.

Booked the room when it was Holiday Inn Express. Got an email that it is under renovation and to be rebranded as Springdale Zion Inn. Luckily they honored our reservation since other rooms in Springdale were over $100 more per night. Check in at an office trailer in the parking lot. Grab & go breakfast from the office - microwavable breakfast sandwich, danish, orange, yogurt, granola bar, & juice. Our room was nice & clean. They even let us have late checkout and were gracious when we were even later than that coming back from a Narrows hike. Very happy pool & hot tubs were open during renovation. Very convenient to Springdale shuttle #6, about a 20 minute ride to the Visitor Center stop. Several restaurants & shops within walking distance, including Zion Guru for Narrows gear & e-bikes and Bumbleberry Inn for ice cream.

We had booked our stay in Holiday Inn Express in springdale for end of March. Somewhere around end of January or mid February we received a notification that the property has changed hands and the bookings may not be honoured. We were told to contact the property directly. Than we received another mail from the property that our booked rates may be honoured so we need to call and speak to the new hotel managed. After calling i came to know that the property will soon become Hyatt Place in a few months but till that time hotel is being run as Springdale Zion Inn. Half of the hotel side is undergoing renovation while hotel offered the guests to stay on the other side which is not affected by the renovation. Another aspect was that since the kitchen is part of the construction, we will be given a packed breakfast on the go which we can eat in our room or even take to Zion. Inspite of these drawbacks i decided to continue with my reservation, also had no regrets. The location of the hotel was good, room was nice, good amenities and focused on cleanliness and hygiene. We were on level two so only had to lug our luggage on the stairs. The view of the mountains was also good. The reception was made out of a container on a temporary basis, and we were able to get our drinking water and coffee from there. We also picked our breakfast from there which comprised, of a egg and bacon bun, yogurt, granola bar and so. Overall everything was fine and no issue faced.

Under construction...an absolute mess.

This hotel is under construction and has been for 5 months and won't be done for until fall. You check in at a trailer. No lobby, no elevator, and construction workers and noise everywhere. All guest rooms are now in the secondary building, and you have to walk past a chain link fence and construction mess to get to the pool. Ridiculous that they are staying open while doing a major remodel.

Nice hotel sadly under renovations.

This is a nice hotel, but unfortunately is undergoing renovations and our expectations were somewhat dampened. No fault of the staff as the hotel has been taken over which meant presumably the refurb. Half the buildings are affected and therefore no dining area, no reception and so forth. Only accomodation. The breakfast included was unfortunately only a'grab bag'. Other than that, the place was nicely kept and the receptionist when we checked in was really nice and have is a warm welcome. The room was different to that booked due to the renovation work, but it turned out better for us in any event. Nice and spacious with a fridge and microwave, plus got drinks machine with unlimited drink 'pods' from reception. Bathroom a good size. Plumbing dated, but no big issue to us. TV with full channel list (as per USA) including Netflix and Youtube (need to sign in to your account of course). Our main gripe is the hidden parking charges of 20 Dollars a day. No choice as you have to park to stay! I will admit that the charge was waived for us as we had effectively been 'downgraded' with room, but nonetheless a hidden charge worthy of note. Overall, a lovely place to stay.
