Location lacking, ambience fun

Our stay at Under Canvas was pleasant, but the prevailing sentiment at our departure was that the experience was not worth the price. First, the good: the beds were very comfortable, bathroom clean and hot water plentiful, and the ambiance and camaraderie at the fire pits were fun. However, these positives could not outweigh the unfortunate location of the camp so near a three-lane 55 mph highway. This resulted in a lot of road noise at night, which was not communicated in advance (although train noise was, and there was that too.). The positives likewise could not erase several minor annoyances like sloppy cleaning of the pull out couch (used ear plugs and hair ties are an unwelcome sight), two barely charged LED lanterns, a malfunctioning white noise machine, and lax enforcement of quiet hours on our first night. These are minor points, but for the cost, one would expect better. Ultimately, Under Canvas Glacier seems to have an identity crisis: it’s “full service” one moment but a campsite the next. I think for its cost, the novelty of “glamping” wore off quickly.

Great place to stay for the night and the staff were very accommodating for all the needs for our group.

Loved the experience of staying at Under canvas. Great people, beautiful accomodations, wonderful friendly atmosphere. Two slight negatives, cost is a bit high and the location of this site is near a train line that runs all night (4 am whistle). The manager did explain this and earplugs are provided but if you are a light sleeper or noise sensitive this particular site may not be for you. Overall loved the stay

We stayed at Under Canvas with my parents (70's) and my kids (13 & 15). It was a great way for us to experience the camp feel without having to bring all of the equipment. Very nice location next to West Glacier entrance. Tents, beds, and blankets were all great. We had some light sleepers in our group and train noise was an issue in the middle of the night, but we made use of ear plugs and noise machine.

Not comparable to other Under Canvas locations

The location is right on a major highway, you can hear road noise all night. I have stayed at other Under Canvas locations that were amazing and this property is not comparable. Skip this UnderCanvas location. Staff was very rude when I asked them to remove a bees nest from the entrance of the tent. Food is not impressive, you could not hear the live music, not many activities, no wash clothes for your face. I wanted to stay here for the wilderness expereince and this location completely missed that.
