We stayed at the Absaroka May 12-20th. What a wonderful view of the mountains & the Yellowstone River! The first thing I noticed when looking out from our private balcony. The rooms are clean & smell nice. Modern & updated. We were a room designed for the disabled. Or so I thought. Here is one of my only 2 complaints: the room really isn't big enough for a person in a wheelchair to maneuver. The towels were too high, they have no roll-in showers, and lastly & most importantly - there are NO grab bars in the tub. None. Also, no hose for the shower. Only the shower head, which is great if you can stand up. My other complaint is kinda strange, I thought. There is no way to lock your door from the inside. No deadbolt, swinglock, anything. Anyone with a key can come in any time. It is worth mentioning that there is no breakfast offered. If the tub situation were fixed, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat! We absolutely loved everything else about it. Comfortable beds, fridge & microwave in the room, TV (but we never turn it on while on vacation), and furniture on the balcony. Oh, forgot to mention how awesome the staff is! They even helped us unload the car!! Overall, I give this room 5 stars. It's worthy. Fix the tub situation & we're golden. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

Lovely view, clean rooms! We avoid chain hotels when we can and choose independent ones when we can. Sometimes independent and even chains are a little dirtier than I’d like. But these rooms were super clean! Fabulous view of the beautiful town of Gardiner. We’ll be back!!

Excellent views, clean rooms, friendly staff

We moved to this hotel when the Air BnB we had rented in Gardiner turned out to be pretty bad. We just walked into the Lodge lobby and asked for two rooms in the back with balconies on the river. They were extremely friendly and accommodating. The rooms were light, bright, clean and with the typical amenities, and each one had a balcony. From our balconies we watched elk grazing on the Lodge lawns and bald eagles along the river. Great views of the edge of Yellowstone Nat'l Park. It was totally enjoyable and very reasonable for a resort community.

We stayed in this hotel on a last minute extra night in this cute little town, and don't regret it at all. The view is beyond amazing. The room was clean and updated for the most part. Very comfy beds and bedding. We did find a few bugs in the room, so maybe there needs to be some spraying done, but other than that very nice.

We enjoyed our first night in Montana at this lovely little motel on the Yellowstone River. Our room was immaculate with a pretty view of the water. We enjoyed the birds and wild life. We could easily walk to restaurants. Our room was very nice and had been recently remodeled and updated with new carpeting .
