Hotel is located close to the north entrance of the park. There are a few restaurants within walking distance. The lady who checked us in could not have been any less friendly. We had to walk downstairs with our suitcases. ( no elevator) It was an odd layout. Our room looked out toward the river but we were too low to see it. The room appeared clean but we killed two spiders on the bed. In the middle of the night, a small critter of some kind ran across the bed. It made for a sleepless night. After traveling for two weeks, this was our least favorite hotel.

Not as appears in photos!

The photos posted are very flattering to this Lodge. I booked through hotels.com for nights but did not even stay . The Lodge is next door to a trailer and sits in the middle of a parking lot. My room was under the stairwell across from the ice machine. It was very noisy and I did not feel safe or comfortable here.

Stay again

Just what we wanted! Clean, comfortable beds, with a refrigerator. Our room was by the water facing bridge. The person I spoke with was always pleasant, helpful. Walking distance to restaurants, gas station. Elk passed through of course!

Great night's stay

We stayed here one night while visiting Yellowstone, after our room at Canyon Village was cancelled. We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay here again. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable. Everything you want in a hotel stay. They didn't offer breakfast but I knew that when I booked so not an issue at all. Highly recommend as an option.

The Absaroka Lodge is a clean, friendly place, perfect for families or couples. The Manger Shawn treated us like family and was always ready to answer our questions or assist up with our luggage up and down the stairs. We had two rooms as my sisters traveled with us; ours had a small kitchen area, that gave us lots of options for making snacks or breakfast. Both rooms had a balcony right on the Yellowstone River and that added space made our stay just perfect. I would recombed this place to anyone wishing to have a clean, safe convenient room just a short drive to the Park, You can count on Shawn to make sure everything is comfortable and enjoyable. We would love to return someday, it was great!
