It’s all about coffee and my glass of evening wine on a balcony. This balcony excelled with a gorgeous view of the Yellowstone River and the little town. Room clean and just fine in every way; a bit smaller than others but I was comfy and content. Happy that there was extra regular coffee in the room. No restaurant but it’s a pretty walk into town. I saw elk resting in people’s yards too. Just a few fun gift shops in the town. I recommend this place; all rooms have river view and balcony or first floor patio.

Safer than most during Covid

This is a wonderfully located hotel in the heart of Gardiner. Our room had a balcony overlooking the Yellowstone River. The room was very good though starting to show a hint of wear and tear. WiFi was painfully slow in the evenings. Because it’s a motel-style facility, with separate outside doors for each unit, social distancing isn’t much of an issue. However, staff do not wear masks - including in the lobby where guests check-in. Neither, for that matter, do housekeeping. Is that an issue during Covid? Certainly less so for this hotel, where staff-guest and guest-guest interactions are minimal. Nonetheless, I would’ve preferred more effort from a busy hotel in a global tourist hub.

Very nice hotel on the banks of the Yellowstone River. Hotel was clean and modern and in a great location. Easy walk to the grocery store and Subway for sandwiches. We had an upstairs balcony room and saw deer grazing below us in the morning. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Great Stay!

Our first time to stay in Gardiner. We loved the room, the location and the price. Owner was friendly and helpful. Room was clean, comfortable and perfect for our stay. Waking to the view was the next best thing to waking up in Yellowstone.

Located on the bank of the Yellowstone River, the Absaroka Lodge provided the perfect spot for our eagerly anticipated adventure into Yellowstone National Park. The rooms were super clean, the bed very comfy, and it was an easy walk over the bridge to restaurants and bars.
