Average cabin, poor communication. No amenities off season. Overpriced. .

We arrived at the property sometime before 6pm only to see that everything was shut down. Coffeeshop, office, pizza place all closed down. One of the reasons we chose this property was for the on-site restaurant, etc. It was dark, and we unfortunately didn't immediately see the envelope with our name on it on the office/coffeeshop door. We had a cabin number assigned so we tried that cabin first and it was locked...only after checking the office area again and finding the envelope did we discover our assigned cabin number had been changed and the cabin was unlocked. Ugh. We were dead tired and cold and would've appreciated communication about the check in process ahead of time. We called the number on our reservation information page, but had to leave a message. Very limited food options in the area...the nearby restaurant was crazy busy and had very slow service from overworked servers. I imagine during peak season our experience may have been better here. In the morning nothing on-site was open, so we're assuming that it's just what they do in the slow season. We also found it a bit strange that with practically nobody staying on property they gave us a cabin so close to the highway. Not loads of traffic thankfully, but we definitely got lots of road noise here. Ice machine also wasn't working. Rates absolutely didn't reflect the slow season or the lack of amenities that we expected when we booked. Cabin was fairly basic. Bathroom kinda tight. Super shallow tub was a bit disappointing since I really needed a hot soak after long, cold hikes at Bryce. Also not as close to Bryce Canyon as we'd anticipated. Your experience might be different if you stay during a busier season...I'm assuming things change at end of October. Bottom line is that our experience was tainted by the lack of pre arrival communication. We literally almost left the property to find an alternate accommodation.

One of the best places I've stayed! Beautiful area, easy to get to and a short drive from Bryce Canyon Park. I didn't want to stay in a hotel in Bryce city and found this gem! We had one of the two room "suites" which had a micro, fridge, coffee maker. It was clean, roomy with a lovely gas fireplace, nice furnishings and an excellent king bed; so cozy! Location was an easy walk to two restaurants and grocer!

We spent one night in the Boat Mesa Cabin. It was gorgeous!!! When you entered the cabin you were in the living area. There was a very comfortable couch and recliner, a table with 4 chairs, a fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, a gas fireplace and a television. As you moved down the hall there was a bedroom with a huge bed and a private bathroom to the left. At the back of the cabin was a room was two queen beds and another bathroom. I have to say it again. the cabin was gorgeous! Everything was high-end and upscale. It was perfect for our party of 5. Very spacious. There was a coffee shop in the lobby where you could get breakfast if you wanted. It was not complimentary. From the hotel you could walk to all of the restaurants in town and also to a grocery store. The hotel was a short drive to Bryce National Park. We loved this place. It was a shame that we only got to spend one night there.

Comfortable beds. Decent internet. Very nice AC/heat unit; can have fan on all the time (hi/lo) and set a temperature (use for white noise; not common at hotels!). Lots of room. Sturdy table next to window, which we could open. Covered porch in shade (stayed on north half of hotel) with table and chairs. Unfortunately, our cabin was across from Tesla chargers. While in room during afternoon, several people/cars came and left, making noise (they were not staying at the hotel). Also, we couldn’t park there, although we could park fairly close by. Wish road/parking area were paved; rocks/gravel made noise, although it didn’t seem to wake us and it was dry while we were there. Walking distance to all the towns restaurants, grocery store (Clarks), and laundromat (didn't use), which is probably true of any hotel in town. Would stay here again.

This is such a wonderful place to stay. The cabins are perfect. So clean and beautiful. We enjoyed getting our coffee and breakfast each morning at their coffee shop. Tropic is a small town and we loved it. So peaceful. There are a few lovely dining options which were all great. The cabins are not far at all from Bryce Canyon- maybe 15 minutes at most. Highly recommend!! Hope we can come back some time.
