What a fun hotel to stay in! It became part of the experience. This western town themed property is on the highway between Panguitch, Utah, and Bryce Canyon NP. The facility offered us the biggest room we had on our cross country road trip, a spacious front porch for relaxing and enjoying the views, and two comfy chairs inside that I could sleep in all night! The breakfast area was clean and well stocked, and outdoor seating was available. The floor squeaked a little, but that just added to the charm.

The hotel is very western looking, parking was easy, room was large, bed was comfortable and water was hot! Water pressure was just okay as was the breakfast. Only one ice machine for the whole hotel but it wasn’t crowded when I stayed so that was good. Would stay here again!

Comfortable. Fair price. Needs work.

Location was beautiful. Staff was nice. Located south of Panguitch. Facilities were run down, especially outside porch. Doors squeaked. Breakfast was so-so. Cheap ingredients. Room was comfortable, but needs updating. Fair price, though.

We stayed in a double room on the second floor in the Maverick’s building for 5 nights in early May. The room was older but a good size. It was clean on a surface level (bedding and high touch surfaces) but if you looked closely, like at the baseboards and behind the TV, it was actually very dirty. The floors are noisy. Being on the upper floor we had no issues with this, but I imagine it was annoying for those below us. The beds were comfortable, though the pillows flattened down to nothing; side sleepers beware. The heat and TV worked well, with many channels showing movies, which was perfect after a long day of hiking. We both liked that the vanity was outside of the bathroom. Water pressure in the shower was perfect, and we never ran out of hot water. The bath towels were very small, very thin, and clearly cheap. The coffee machine, fridge, and microwave all worked well. No plastic utensils or any supplies provided. The breakfast was held on the upstairs level of the main building. We always arrived right at 6:30am and it would get busy within minutes. It quieted down once the rush was gone. The food items did not change once – really soggy, cold breakfast sausages, cold scrambled eggs, breads/bagels for toasting, apples/oranges, yogurt, coffee/tea, and a waffle machine to make your own. The coffee ran out on multiple days. They don't monitor the dining room well, so people had to go to reception to ask for it to be refilled. The onsite restaurant is closed permanently. We did not know this before booking, and the signs at the place still say there is an onsite restaurant. If you want food, you have to drive into the next town, 20 minutes away. This becomes important when you are planning a relaxing evening after a long day of hiking. The lack of utensils in the room I mentioned earlier also becomes important here. Overall, the stay was mediocre, and I would not stay again. I would stay somewhere more convenient to the park, with food options nearby.
