Bring ear plugs
This place was the closest to Yellowstone's east gate with vacancy. But, bring ear plugs because there is no sound deadening. We could hear above, outside and beside our room as if we were in a tent. There was no counterspace to put our things which made functioning difficult. The price is high for the quality of furnishings, towels, toiletries and services.

4 night stay with 2 dogs
This is my third stay at Big Bear. It's a quiet location. The rooms are spacious and clean. They had adjusted their policies due to the COVID issue. It's nice to find a place that allows dogs. The horses and the cowboy singer are a neat amenity. The staff is always friendly. Stores and restaurants are nearby.

Hospitality in Cody, WY
Big Bear offered us just what we needed. Driving from Texas to Montana with eight dogs is exhausting. The staff was friendly and receptive from the beginning. We parked our rig right outside our door and were treated to live entertainment including Cookie Man the miniature pony. Kids will love this place. We’ll make this our regular stop on our way to and from Montana.

3 night stay
Stayed 3 nights at Big Bear Motel while in Cody. Room was clean and adequate, bed was comfortable. Small refrigerator & microwave in the room as well. Walmart & various restaurants & shops nearby for convenience. My wife really enjoyed the opportunity to ride the motel’s horse, Hank, every night during our stay (free of charge). Pool and other amenities are available, but we did not partake due to spending most of our time in Yellowstone. Recommended for a nice stay while in Cody.

My husband and I stayed here for one night during a roadtrip out West. We loved it! The room was spacious and clean. The best part of our stay was in the evening. They had a man singing, horse rides for kids and Cookie the miniature horse! You could take a golf cart ride around the property with Cookie which I did and it was great! We will definitely stay again next time in Cody!
