Awesome Experience!

The in room coffee wasn't great (a small Keurig could go a long way) and it would be nice if there was a second pillow option for something less fluffy. Otherwise, it was spectacular and I would 100% go back.

Published Date: Jan, 16, 2025 Travel Date: Jan, 1, 2025 Rating: 5 We enjoyed our 2 night stay, family of 3 so we got the dome with the upstairs loft (2 comfy twin beds). The "room" was clean, great beds, hot shower, good water flow, good heater in bathroom. Unique experience. The dinner in their restaurant was good too. The employees were very nice, accommodating, no complaints. The views were great, and if you turn off all lights in your room you can see out really well. There are large curtains you can use during the day. It was convenient to Bryce, maybe 15-20 minute drive, and I drive slow. Close to the Mossy Cave trail. Clear Sky is at 6000 feet (I'm pretty sure) and Bryce is 8000+ so it was nice to be a bit lower. I hope to return someday with my grandkids.
One member of our party got a stomach bug and even though they were short staffed the manager (Andrew) came by our dome and brought us silver ware and some complementary sprite soda after we called up to the office.
There is a pizza restaurant not too far away in Tropic, 5 minute drive maybe.

Luxurious and unprecedented dark starry sky experience

As a base camp for our Bryce and Zion hiking adventure Sky Domes offered truly hyper modern accommodations. We felt like we had stepped in to the luxurious future on Mars. We set our alarm for 2AM and woke up to a pre-moonrise panorama of starts. There is little to no light pollution at this location so the milky way is easily visible. The hotel offers an early evening guided star gazing experience so you don't have to bring your own telescope, but if you do you won't be disappointed. The resort offers fluffy fleece blankets (at the front desk and in the domes) so you can sit out and melt in to the view.
The central restaurant is a marvel. The huge Sky Dome has a full bar, coffee bar and restaurant. After a long day hiking it was great to tuck in to a good meal and desert. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. Given the exclusivity of the property the service is what you would expect. As an example, we were escorted from check in to our dome and provided a detailed overview of the property and shown how to operate the heating, lights and sound systems.
Recently opened, this resort will quickly become a highlight for people on tour of the Utah big five as it is close to mid way between Arches and Zion.

Mattress is great and showers are awesome! Dome was easy to warm up. Plenty of space outside to throw and kick a ball with my son without bothering anyone. Board games to take from checkin and yard games to play at their awesome-view terrace. Great fireplace to grill s’mores every night. Restaurant is good and reasonably priced. Minor downsides: bar doesn’t open until 5pm (but there is a fairly large fridge in the dome to store drinks you can take from home) and internet isn’t always stable. Overall, we LOVED it and will definitely do this again at one of their other locations.
Great stay but too much branding

However, there is one thing that keeps this from a 5 star review and it is all the unnecessary large font branding on literally everything, ie waste baskets, tissue box, glasses, towels… It makes what is already a great concept & design on its own, tacky and cheap, and feel like a low quality brand. If branding is your thing, at least make it subtle and tasteful, which right now it’s too in your face and quit. annoying honestly. It was a common subject among the other guest.
