Stayed at Red Cliffs Lodge 2/14/2121 thru 2/17/2021. This was my third visit. About the area: Moab, Utah is one of the most beautiful and scenic areas in the United States. If you're looking for postcard-perfect, majestic landscapes, and breathtaking views, look no further! Moab is about 3 1/2 hours from Salt Lake City. It is home to Arches National Park, Canyonlands, and Dead Horse Point. Absolutely beautiful places. The cliffs, bluffs, and mountain ranges have been featured in many motion pictures. Things to do in Moab: Fishing, hiking, river rafting, mountain biking, horseback riding, ATV-ing, camping, you name it! About the Red Cliffs Lodge: This is a wonderful place! It's located about 14 miles outside of Moab, and sits right next to the Colorado river. It has a western, rustic feel, but has all of the amenities you would expect to find in a high class hotel. It's very peaceful, serene, and very secluded. The place is perfect for honeymooning couples, families, or someone like me who just enjoys a nice, relaxing weekend and is looking for some rest and relaxation in a beautiful place. The lodge features a museum in the basement, containing movie artifacts from various John Wayne movies. It's fun to see. There's a gift shop, along with a large dining room called The Cowboy Grill. This room features large picture windows, giving you a beautiful, panoramic view of the Colorado River and bluffs. The views are breathtaking. You won't find a bad seat in the house! There are several different room styles to choose from. I've always gone with the River King Suite on all of my visits so far. These rooms have the look and feel of a studio condo with a western/rustic feel. As you walk in, there will be a large counter/sink/vanity area to your left or right, then a separate room with tub/shower combo and toidy. This room has a door. As you continue walking into the room, there is a very comfortable king-sized bed, large dresser, and long bench. As you keep walking, there are steps which go down to the lower level (3 steps down). Here you will find a very comfy sofa sleeper, a dinette set with 4 chairs, and a kitchenette. The kitchenette features a microwave, toaster, mini fridge, and coffee maker. Comes stocked with dishes, flatware, etc. It does not have a cooktop or stove, however. There is a very large, sliding glass door which leads to a private patio. Here you will find a chaise lounge, a table, and a couple of chairs. The view out the patio door is incredible! Just beautiful! The room features complimentary wi-fi and a decent-sized flat-screen TV. The selection of TV channels is kind of meh.... but why watch TV when nature's show outside the window is so much better, right? Other room options feature queen-sized beds, and some of the cabin-style rooms feature an in-room hot tub and fireplace. Something like this would be perfect for a honeymooning couple. There is a large, outdoor pool (closed during the winter), along with a gym and a hot tub. The Cowboy Grill, depending on the season and number of guests, has varying hours depending on what time of the year you stay here. For example, some mornings they'll have a breakfast buffet and other mornings you must order what you need. Either way, the food is REALLY GOOD, and the prices are within reason. (More than what you'd pay at a typical family restaurant, but this place is rather up-scale. It's classy.) I highly recommend this place. It's beautiful. I really like it, and I'm confident you will too.

Location is perfect. The rooms could use some paint and refreshing. Although the website said that the restaurant was open in February, it was not. Luckily, we packed enough food for two nights as we did not want to drive to Moab for takeout.

The view of the river and the cliffs, especially in the morning, was wonderful. Did not try the restaurant, museum, or other amenities, but would definitely recommend and return. About a 10 minute scenic canyon drive from Moab -- another bonus.

Very quiet, comfortable and friendly. Beautiful location. A great location for a base from which to explore Arches Nd Canyonlands National Parks. The hot breakfast was very good. The restaurant was not open during our stay but we managed.

We fell in love with the Red Cliff's Lodge. It's nestled in the river bend surrounded by the most beautiful red cliffs, hence the name. The rooms are situated right on the Colorado River. The lodge is all wood, including Ponderosa Pine Columns, beautifully appointed, great views, and the friendliest, helpful staff. The hot breakfast is not to be missed. Joey, the lifetime Moab resident couldn't have been more efficient and friendly. January may seem like a strange time to be in Moab since many stores are closed, however you really beat the crowds at Arches and Canyonlands National Park, and the rates at RCL are very reasonable. Highly recommend!! Can't wait to tell our friends and come back!!
