My sister took me here as a birthday sisters trip. Gorgeous location. Staff was super friendly and helpful. There's 3 pools. One is cold, hot and warm. Food there was delicious. They don't serve lunch (people are out exploring). They do have a food grab and go section. There’s AC in the tent. Really great location and will definitely be back. I'm deducting 1 star due to the hotel not mentioning the Kangaroo Rats ( I think that's what they are) and don't have in room cleaning supplies. There were dropping pretty much everywhere. We ended up just using tissue paper to pick up the droppings . If we had known that we would have night time visitors we could have prepared more. Brought extra hand sanitizer, clothing bags to store clothes or anything else to keep our stuff out of the way. One day we didn't clean the droppings off the couch and it was still there after housekeeping came by. Our last night, there was poop droppings and urine on the bed. The staff member was super nice about it and brought us new bedding. It is said on the website no food in the tents. We did not have food. We don't want any critters to be killed to keep them out of the tents. Just a reminder that we share land with them and that do come in at night. Hopefully, they will add cleaning supplies inside the tent so things can be wiped down that came into contact with droppings. After unpacking at home. I found 2 dropping in one of my bags.

Terrific and unique location. Perfect spot for a group trip. Location and facilities are great. Staff professionalism and experience needs work to meet the high bar set by the facility, price, and Michelin rating. We found the tent very comfortable and just about perfect. Yes the air conditioner is loud but it worked well even in the heat. Didn’t need to use the wood heater so can’t comment on those - we were warm enough. Food was very good and broadly the team was very helpful and had good attitudes. The one area that really should be improved is the knowledge, experience, coordination, and professionalism of the staff. They are all very nice and friendly, but often they dont know key details and different people give different answers on things. Some simple examples, we brought a few nice bottles of wine and we were told in advance they could be stored for us to protect them from the heat. However when we got there we were told the bottles couldn’t be stored overnight due to Utah laws - ok that is what it is but it’s not what we had been told. All worked out on in the end. Similarly as a grouping 6 we were concerned about making sure we could eat together at a reasonable hour since there aren’t that many tables. Originally we were told no reservations, then we were told that we needed a reservation and the tables our size were already booked up. Finally again it all worked out in the end but it shouldn’t be that way at a high end service provider. Several other examples like this. Things like this are particularly important at a facility that is 30 minutes from anything else and you need to do everything onsite. All in all an incredible stay and incredible property. Hopefully will get better and better over time as staff training hopefully improves.

ULUM Moab was pure magic. The views, the peaceful vibe, and the beautifully designed tents made it such a special stay. We loved the Aesop products in the room and were blown away by the food - every meal at the restaurant was amazing. Service was seamless and thoughtful. It would be great to see a few kid-friendly additions in the future - maybe a play space or simple activities for kids. Overall, an unforgettable experience. Can’t wait to return!

If you’re going to Moab to experience nature at its finest but want all of the comfort (heat/air/in-tent bathroom and shower) while still being in nature, there is only one place to stay. Ulum. We visited the nicest resorts on our stay and hands down, Ulum was the place to be. We stayed five nights - the food was excellent, the service was wonderful, and the evenings were what made our trip. Coming in after a day of hiking and adventure to a lovely dinner, sitting around the multiple fire pits with live music, sharing our days’ experiences with other adventurers was sublime. The s’mores provided every evening - wow! Made our daughter so happy! If your general idea of a nice vacation is a five star resort but you want to experience nature without sacrificing comfort, there is no other place to go than Ulum. Fabulous. If going to Moab, Ulum is the place to stay.

Stay at ULUM

ULUM was a great choice for our first stay in Moab, Utah! We stayed 4 nights here and were overall very satisfied. Situated about 25 minutes south of Moab Town, ULUM is a tented camp built into a series of foothills overlooking a really beautiful stand-alone arch called the Looking Glass which can be hiked. The camp is also not too far from all of the key activities and hikes in the region. Service was excellent - everyone was very friendly and go out of your way to make your stay better. The tents themselves are spacious and kept clean and can be walked to from the main common area or you can ask the staff to give you a ride via golf cart if you don’t feel like walking back and forth which includes hills. They are a quick text away and very responsive for any issue. Some notes on the tents: remember that is glamping so be prepared for the occasional hiccup is to be expected. We visited in early May and it got quite cold at night. The wood burning stove will keep your tend very warm but after the fire dies it will get cold cold. There are a lot of blankets but fair warning you will wake up cold. It was also very windy as the tents are high up on bluffs and the structure of the tent, while held up great, is loud as it bucks and shakes when very windy. Recommend sleeping with noise cancellation devices in such weather. ULUM offers a variety of activities and has a restaurant open for breakfast and dinner only. They have a coffee bar with premade sandwiches for lunch as well as snacks. The food in general is very good and high quality although I feel over priced (including the cocktails). A dinner with appetizers and cocktails will run close to 200-250 per couple. Snacks, drinks, sandwiches are also pricy (bought a sandwich to go for 16 dollars), so I recommend no more than 1 or two nights eating in and then getting dinner in town where there are great options reasonably priced. Still though you can’t beat the ambiance - dinner here viewing the arch and surrounding landscape at dusk is unbeatable and makes you forget about the cost drawbacks. Thank you to the great staff for a very pleasant stay!
