The place was overrun with a wild fraternity party. I had no problem with the kids (although many appeared to be under 21 and drinking excessively) I was more upset with the hotel. The frat books their spring formal here every year, fine just give your other guests a fair warning it was going to be "Animal House" for the weekend

The hospitality is great, breakfast is available at reasonable hours (until 10am!), ample parking, awesome pool. There is a lovely walking trail right outside your doorstep, and it’s close to the shopping are of town. Only thing that wasn’t my favourite was that it’s not very sound proof and I could hear all of my neighbours in their rooms.

The Pine Lodge on Whitefish River provide excellent accommodations!

Traveling from Spokane, WA to Whitefish to attend the Young Life Fundraiser my husband and I chose to stay at The Pine Lodge after reading the reviews and also because of the river view. This is a very nice hotel that met all of our needs and more. Comfortable and clean room, great river view, super breakfasts, and pools for our grandchildren to enjoy. All staff members were friendly and accommodating and our room was refreshed each day.

Fine Whitefish Base Camp

Pine Lodge is a comfortable and attractive place to "base camp" on the south side of Whitefish, Montana. I was there in connection with a business trip in downtown Whitefish about a mile away. Pine Lodge had all of the critical ingredients I look for on such a trip - comfortable, quiet room with a nice balcony overlooking the river, easy-connect wifi, effective HVAC that kept the room at the temperature I wanted without a noisy fan, plenty of storage space for clothing, and a nice bathroom. Check-in and check-out were easy. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has a shuttle that runs into Whitefish's very walkable downtown and also up to the nearby ski resort periodically throughout the day and into the evening. The hotel offers a complimentary hot breakfast that, while not exactly gourmet, is tasty and filling. There is no other restaurant in the hotel, but there are plenty in the downtown area. You can reach the edge of downtown on foot in about ten minutes. There is also a stop for the free local transit system across the street. If all else fails and you have a car, you can take that into downtown. Parking is ample and free at Pine Lodge. Pine Lodge has made a genuine effort to be green. At check-in I was offered the opportunity to decline daily housekeeping, which I was happy to do. There is a lot of signage in the hotel about how to "live sustainability" during a stay. I was particularly impressed with a little five-minute hourglass timer on the wall of the shower, with a sign encouraging the guest to use it to limit showers to five minutes. Pine Lodge takes sustainability seriously. The only weakness I saw at Pine Lodge was the exercise room. It is about the size of a large walk-in closet. It has only three aerobic machines (a treadmill, a stationary cycle and an elliptical machine), all low-end. There are no weights, bands or yoga mats. There is no thermostat in the room, which makes it kind of airless and warm. They should consider converting a full hotel room to a fitness room with more equipment and space, and some climate control. Despite this one shortcoming, I give Pine Lodge five stars. I would stay there again.

My family and I had a blast in Whitefish in late December 2023. We went there to ski. We knew there wasn't a lot of snow, but we made the most of it and had a great time nonetheless. It was our second time staying at The Pine Lodge. We really enjoyed it the first time we stayed there and thought we would try it again. It did not disappoint! It's a great place for families and in a great location. The staff is very friendly and willing to help. They are happy to provide a shuttle ride to and from the airport, around town, or to the ski area on the mountain. Doug and Austin were particularly awesome! They are very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. We really enjoyed chatting with them. We will definitely be back!
