DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

THE CAMP WAS CLOSED FOR 2 DAYS AND THEY DID NOT NOTIFY US. THEY ARE REFUSING TO REFUND US. THEY SAID THEY "FORGOT" TO CLOSE THE GATE". THIS IS NOT HOW YOU RUN A BUSINESS.
Reasons why you should not stay at this place:
-Lack of Communication / Awareness between guests and internal staff
Two of their guests showed up around 9:00 PM who shared they have been staying since Monday, were unaware that the camp was even closed Tuesday night and Wednesday and proceeded to stay alone because they had no where else to go.............meaning anyone can walk into the camp and stay there because the camp isn't aware of whats happening on their watch.
The host, communicated to his employees that he closed the gate and closed camp around 2/3 PM, while the gate was still open and the sign was not turned to say closed, still stating proceed with caution (see attached photo), and we found out that he closed the camp earlier than when he reported it. Camp closed due to flash flood and incoming storm that we were then caught outside in. You would
Public acknowledgement of disorientation of this camp.
-Neglect of safety:
Previous and consistent complaints made, specifically by the tow company, for the same concern regarding the road and the river (as they have had to come out to the same spot 8-9 times over the last 2 years). This camp is known in the town as a scam.
“Closed” sign was only visible from camp side facing the exit, when it was already too late, and could only be read if you were upon it (see attached photo)
Two young women, who are not from the area, left without service and notice of situation, walking along a highway trying to find help and a safe ride into town to receive wifi
-Poor business practice in the form of a misleading website
-Customer service does not reply. The owner of the company will not respond either
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT STAY HERE. IF YOU WANT TO FEEL PROTECTED, DO YOU STAY HERE. IF YOU WANT SUPPORT FROM STAFF, DO NOT STAY HERE. THIS IS A SCAM OF A BUSINESS.

My friend and I had booked our night stay here after our Bryce Canyon trip as the location seems to be in good proximity (possibly the only good thing I could say). We show up after reading reviews that the road to get to the camp is horrendous and there is a sign in front of us to please proceed ahead with caution. What we see in front of us after pulling onto a dirt road is a river running through the road and the camp about a quarter of a mile up ahead. The river seemingly pretty shallow and without signs of it being closed, my friend and I proceed with our rental car, only to find out it is not shallow. We get our car to the other side ALSO to find out camp is CLOSED without a person in sight and now our car is stuck on the other side, unable to cross back across the river to leave. My friend and I had to walk down a main highway, without service, to find someone to kindly take us in to town to see an EMAIlL, and only an EMAIL, saying camp is closed. When the company was called, they were less than helpful, requiring our friend and I to call a tow company ourselves, which Wander Camp promised to reimburse us for. BTW they said they couldn’t pay for it because they could not “locate the owner in 2 days,” which speaks for itself. After a ride back to the car from 1 of their lovely workers (the only helpful employee we met or spoke to), and hours later, dark out and storming, we were able to get the car back across the river (all thanks to the tow company and a RANDOM stranger who stopped to help). Wander Camp has since been avoiding mine and my friends calls (I am almost positive they blocked my number) and have told me lies that other staff members have confirmed were indeed untrue (i.e, giving me wrong numbers, telling me they were sending me emails when they didn’t, telling me that the “boss” would call us, etc.) This place is an absolute SCAM set up to steal your money. They will not help you if needed and could care less if they put you in unsafe situations. It is horrible advertising and is not “glamping” at all. It is camping with a mattress, according to the employees themselves.

Expensive camping

At first we drove the wrong way because the signposting was very small. Then the unpaved road led through a creek. Luckily we had a pickup truck.
The woman at the "reception" was very friendly.
The tents are actually a cool idea, but it really needs more cleanliness. Additionally, the area around the tent could be better maintained. It was a shame that they charge an extra fee for the heater, as this is not the case in other Wander Camps.
Conclusion: Actually a great idea, but too little money invested.

We also did not have any lanterns. There were other guests who were double booked for the same tent on the same night. There were no employees on site. I can’t say their customer service is bad because it simply doesn’t exist! They have yet to reply to my request for a refund, but they sure made sure to charge my card! I’d give them 0 stars if that was an option

Not properly equipped for hosting.

The location is hard to find, and the road to the site was bumpy (not a good start).
I visited in early October. The temperature at night is in the 40s. the shower has no hot water, it was ice cold. It is a tent, so I understand that bugs can get in. BUT....the pillow case was dirty....be aware when you walk around, I almost twisted my ankle (TWICE), and broke my flip flops.
There was a staff when I check in, and he was helpful. However, due to the poor conditions of the property, We have decided that we will not be staying for another night. I traveled with an elderly, and the cold shower simply was not an option. So the next morning, I tried to look for staff, but no luck. Call the number provided, no one answers the phone. Contact them through the booking website, still no response.
I am trying to request a refund for the second night that I didn't stay due to the poor conditions. I am not even asking for a refund for the night that I stayed there. Even the booking website has a hard time contacting them.
