Wonderful stay in West Yellowstone

The closet had open shelves and hooks which at first was odd to us, but we quickly realized this gave us easy access to our clothes, shoes, etc. The breakfast was included and much above the average fare served at complimentary breakfast hotels. There was quite the variety present and always ready on time. It was quietin our room and we did not hear our neighbors at all. The location was a few minutes from the west park entrance going into the center of the park which made access to the upper and lower loops very conveinent. There are multiple restaurants in West Yellowstone of high quality and the hotel gave us a list of the best ones. They were right on and we had lovely meals every day. They even included a deli that will make you box lunches to take into the park. One of the nicest stays I have ever had and I have been to every state but Hawaii. I think you will have a great stay at Kelly Inn.

Comfortable hotel, but expensive for what you get

Published Date: Jun, 14, 2025 Travel Date: May, 1, 2025 Rating: 4 This hotel comprises three buildings. We had a room in the newest Grizzly Building. The room itself was comfortable, although it had a bit of a motel feel to it, particularly in the bathroom. The included breakfast rotates its menu (and across the three buildings), and while it is decent, we didn't love the hash. The proximity to the west entrance of Yellowstone is very convenient, especially if you're planning to visit any of the sights in the southwest corner of the park (e.g., Old Faithful, Grand Prismatic Spring, etc.). While I completely understand that pricing is relative to demand and location, I thought that the rate we paid (almost $400 per night) was expensive for what we got.

This inn is in the perfect location to enter Yellowstone and is also in easy walking distance from restaurants, shops, groceries- anything you need.
We got a room with 2 kings- a rare find- and the best night's sleep of our trip!
Parking was right out the door of our room, and there was a second door that led to the interior of the property with easy access to free beakfast.
The decor and wooden bear carvings outside windows were extra fun!
Steve and Shamus greeted us and answered all our questions with exactly the information and recommendations we needed.
I absolutely recommend this hotel!
