This is really a 1 star review, I just would like more people to read this. Online this place looks like a once in a lifetime opportunity, and although the photos do depict the domes well, the view is not the best trying to look over other domes at the same height as you. The people are nice, however hospitality is required for the price that you pay. First problem I had was no toilet paper and no hand soap, good thing this was quickly fixed and delivered to the dome in a timely manner. Second problem was the on-site food truck. The prices seem okay until you receive the very underwhelmingly sized, barely edible and cold food. The third problem was the inside lock on the door, it’s useless only because it’s installed backwards and with no other interior lock I did not feel very safe leaving myself and my possessions open to those who would like to help themselves. The idea of this place is more amazing in your head than in person. At around $425 a night I would have expected way better. Better value at a motel 6. In turn I was charged $942 in total for 1 night of stay as they are very bad with refunds even if you do not stay here for what you paid for, even if you feel unsafe to sleep here!

Clear Sky Resorts food truck was fantastic!!! Definitely eat here and come hungry, portions are generous. We did not stay at the resort but came here just for the food truck based on recommendations. Everything was delicious!! The White Wine Alfredo was amazing. Chef Paul was such a nice guy. He found out it was my sons first experience eating at a food truck and offered to give him a tour of the kitchen and truck. It made his night. Thank you Chef Paul!!! We will definitely be back.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE - BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE - UNACCOMODATING MANAGER

1. TERRIBLE STAFF and PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE. The staff is a bunch of kids who have never been told or trained about customer service or how to even talk to customers. Rolling eyes was very commonly seen. Instead of catering to customers - the staff was basically playing their own music on the laptop/ overhead speakers and standing in one corner chit chatting. During one of our discussions - The manager claimed that he was the owner of the place and makes all decisions there (implying my way or the highway). 2. MIDDLE OF NOWHERE with nothing to do. They do show a lot of stuff on their website, but the Dining Dome is not ready. The Projection Dome is still closed. They just have a food truck with limited menu. Someone told us that the dining dome construction staff quit, and they have no end date on its completion. 3. NOT PREPARED FOR THE WEATHER -- It Was WINDY and Freezing in the evening -and the staff would just put 3-4 wooden logs for fire. You literally had to stand next to the firepit to feel the warmth. Despite requesting the manager to add more logs - all customers got was a flat no and a nasty smirk from him. 4. POORLY DESGNED PATHS AND PARKING -- They don't allow you cars to be parked next to your dome. There is no shuttle service or golf carts to take you back and forth to the reception area or to your cars. You basically walk and walk and walk. 5. DEFINITELY NOT READY FOR A LARGE GROUP - they have nothing in terms of entertainment there. 6. We met some people hanging out in the reception area - who were relatives of the staff there. I guess they invite the local relatives to make the resort look busy. 7. The staff even made faces while giving the marshmallow to the kids. They just have no experience in customer service and hospitality industry.7. Some of the staff told us - last year there were a lot of complaints about staff - as a lot of them were doing drugs at the resort. Also, we were told that the resort has a new management this year - I hope they fix things fast, otherwise this is going downhill. I definitely would not go there again/ even if it's for free. Don't want to see the face of their manager again ...ever.

The dome is spacious (mine slept 5 comfortably), has full electricity (helpful if you use a CPAP, want to recharge your gadgets, or blow dry your hair), and has AIR CONDITIONING/ HEAT. The private en suite bathroom includes a large shower stall with running hot and cold water and a vent fan with heat (it gets chilly in the desert at night). The beds are super comfortable. It’s nice that the domes have door locks and are spaced far apart to give everyone privacy. The porch chairs and a hammock for stargazing, reading a book, or watching the sunset/ sunrise were a treat! The large viewing panel wall (with curtain) provided great views and a ton of light. The overhead sky-viewing panel to see a million stars were unforgettable and the retractable cover with a press of the remote let sleeping in easy with no sun in your eyes. It was so nice and comforting not to have to worry about having to seek shelter for any desert wind gusts as the dome shape withstands more extreme wind than a traditional tent. The 80s game room theme was so much fun - complete with an old-school 2-person table-style gaming machine that had over 40 games! (Some of the domes have themes - from Grand Canyon to International Spy.) The on-site food truck serves amazing food - Highly recommend the Crouque Madame for breakfast. The steak (cooked perfectly), truffle fries, wings (Korean BBQ), and pizzas are tasty for dinner too! The staff is very courteous and helpful and took us by cart with our luggage to/from our domes. Everyone in our group enjoyed the live music by Aaron White (Grammy Award winner) and learning about the rich Indian history of the area around the fire pit and roasting marshmallows for nightly S’mores (Complimentary). The guided stargazing, yoga, glow-in-the-dark frisbee golf, and corn hole were a big hit too!

Wow, what a great experience! We were so impressed with all the staff we met -- super friendly and so helpful. We loved the choices on the food truck (especially the pizza!), the firepit with the surrounding chairs was so relaxing, and the beds in the domes were very comfortable.
