We had a really fun time at Clear Skies. They do a good job of coming up with activities, and the domes are very cool. Food truck is actually awesome, check it out. It is overpriced for what is offered. I mention this with a comparison to similar “glamping” hotels in mind, a la Under Canvas. Having stayed at both, your money goes further at Under Canvas. That being said, fun stay, and appreciated the hospitality of the staff.

The best place to stay in Arizona!

We had an amazing time! The location was wonderful, some of the best views we’ve ever seen for sunrise, sunset, and night sky (all photos included were taken with a phone). The staff was very friendly and more than accommodating! Most nights we hung out in the common areas and struck up conversations with them, great company! They also use a text based system and we’re quick to respond, very helpful. The nightly star gazing tours were great and we got to see so much, the host Craig was awesome! Also the live local music was great, really good acoustic covers. I do want to add, in case you didn’t read their disclosures, this may be a “resort” but you are still in the desert. The nights are dark which makes for great views but have a phone or small flashlight to help getting around. There are animals around, we saw a heard of Pronghorn Antelope. There are bugs and other critters around too but all expected when camping out away from heavily traveled areas. It is all worth it for the view and experience! We feel the accommodations provided were as described and exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend staying at Clear Sky and would stay again if we return to the area!

What an amazing family experience. The domes were clean and sturdy and well managed. The staff was super friendly and attentive. Seth was a rock star and the ladies at welcome center made you feel at home. I would highly recommend this resort. Chef Paul killed it at the food truck. Great meals.

A Unique, Quirky and Fabulous Experience

We stayed at Clear Sky on our way to the Grand Canyon. What a fun experience! From the moment we checked in at the Welcome Dome, we knew this was going to be cool. The staff was friendly, talkative and helpful. We were guided as to where to park, and then the staff member took us and our luggage out to our Panorama Dome, as you can't park next to your dome, which was fine. We stepped inside to stunning desert views. We were shown all the ins and outs of the dome, and then left to unpack and take in the beauty surrounding us. We then walked to the food truck, but were told the dining dome was open and we could order inside and take a seat at a table. Everything was decorated for Halloween and the staff was great. There were plenty of food options and yes a bit pricey, but the portions were huge. So much so, we took 1/2 of one dish back to our mini fridge in the dome for a late night snack under the stars. The staff texts often with updates of what is happening, if your dome isn't ready upon arrival, you can park and enjoy all the activities on property and they will text you when it is ready. We were having trouble with one of the heater's in our dome, so we texted the staff and immediately someone was at our dome to show us a trick on the controller. Our dome was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom, which I understand is very hard to do when you are in the middle of the desert. We slept great, it was peaceful and quiet, the bed was comfy and the gift of slippers was a very nice touch. Clear Sky was a great way to camp without camping and having to do the cooking and cleaning. We loved it! The activities on property are extensive. The welcome dome has games, music in the evening, there is a jumping bag, tricycle race track, Frisbee golf and after dark the baskets and frisbee's light up so you can play after dark. They have a small observatory dome. The night we were there they were showing a film. After dark they light several fire pits and offer S'More kits for no charge, which was fun to sit out by the fire and enjoy a favorite camp snack. The food truck food was delicious and nice to have. Yes it is pricey, but we knew that going in. It was a unique and one of a kind experience we won't soon forget. From what the staff tells us, they are opening more around the U.S. The video clips we were able to get of the night sky from the deck of our dome are breathtaking. Views most of us don't get. So all in all well worth the money spent for a quirky and unique experience.
