Many of the resort perks were not available when we looked for them, such as the nightly movie and the smores. the a/c didn't get cold. the daytime staff wasn't very helpful. and the check in desk was very hard to find if it is your first time there.

Reall enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful meal in the restaurant, highly recommend the Pollo Asado. It’s about 10-15 minutes from the entrance to the Grand Canyon.

Inoperative TV, HVAC, Bathroom Vent, But Decorated Nicely

I usually book 2 star hotels for the value when on my own since I just need a bed and shower. However, I had company with me and went for a 4 star hotel on this trip. Frankly, I'm disappointed. We were placed in a room with a known inoperative HVAC system. It was freezing when we arrived. Fortunately, the last resident with the same experience appeared to have asked for an electric space heater, which allowed us to warm up the room. The batteries in the TV remote were dead and a request was made the front desk for replacements. No batteries or remote replacement arrived until we asked again a half a day later. The bathroom vent wasn't working either. At checkout, I mentioned the inoperative HVAC and she was aware of it as well as surprised that the room was still being available for guests. The woman at the counter was very apologetic and offered us coupons for our breakfast. I'll say the breakfast had a good variety, was hot and tasted good. The room was also decorated very nicely, though I'm not a fan of sliding barn doors for bathrooms.

Fabulous Grand Canyon Resort! What a wonderful place to stay right outside the gates of the park. This hotel is beautifully furnished, quiet, and very well-maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our three days in the one-bedroom King suite. Don’t let the affordable prices deter you.

Don’t use the hot tub. It will turn your hair green. Too high of a chlorine level

After using the hot tub I discovered when we went back to the room. The tips of my blonde hair had turned bright green. I called the front desk and they just said they would notate the reservation. Nobody ever called me back to follow up with what maintenance discovered and or sent me an email so if you have dyed hair, do not use the hot tub it will turn your hair green and bleach your bathing suit. The chlorine levels are very high and I didn’t notice it whilst I was sat in there, only discovered when I went back to the room
