Great location to get to all the activities in Glacier NP. The cabins are very rustic and could use a little updating. No microwave and the towels were scratchy, thin and should only be used to clean floors with. Be forewarned if you stay in the cabins by the creek and lakefront you will have people walking through your space. We had numerous brides and grooms and a few families taking professional photos right in front of our cabin. Otherwise, the views are spectacular and the cleaning staff is amazing.

Nothing fancy but you get a clean room in a fantastic national park. Being a motel, it’s fairly easy to hear you neighbors, but that’s a given and not overly distracting. It was a very short walk to the lake and the beautiful views there. Overall, a good economical stay within the park.

Check in was great, nice guy, kind, friendly, hospitable and knowledgeable. Location was amazing and the only reason we stayed here! It’s a two minute walk to the lake. The room was very dark, beds were sloping and caused us back pain. Maybe better than sleeping in the car although we would have saved $180 by just going to a camping spot. Check out could use a key drop box for those who would like to leave before 9am when the office opens. If you can deal with paying far more than you should for uncomfortable beds, it’s an amazing location.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was convenient for our daily hiking trips. The rooms are tight but manageable. Don't plan to spend time in the rooms anyway. We added on an extra night after initially booking, so we had to switch to a different room. The second room the heater didn't work, and it was a little chilly as it was mid September. We left early in the morning, so the office was not open to report this to the employees. I thought I was booking a room facing the creek, but actually a "creekside motel" room has only windows that look out to the McDonald Creek, so no door to the backside. Our room was actually in the middle section of the motel, so it wasn't really easy to take a chair around to the creek to enjoy it. Other than my slight disappointment with that, this is a great little place to stay. I had initially made reservations in 2019 for 2020, but had to keep postponing due to Covid. The reservations host was very accomodating.

We have stayed here twice. We love the old, rustic, simple little motor lodge. We love the location and the atmosphere. We love Eddie's cafe next door and the ice cream and all the little shops nearby. Fantastic view.
