Take A Management Class
Stayed for several nights with my family late July. Upon check in, the room was mostly clean except for some empty snack wrappers left behind. Room keys seldom worked for our rooms or building entry. OK. The cable and internet went out repeatedly. Annoying. The ice machine on our floor wouldn't work. Several mornings, there was on obvious stench of alcohol from the housekeeper. I vented a little bit to a maintenance employee (I'm sorry!). He stated he was quitting soon and explained some of the hotel issues: The hotel is very isolated. And the isolation is not compensated for. They have a "get what you can" staff. He explained all the issues we had were common and had been going on since he began working there. Day two, the "maintenance manager" came for a service request. After exiting our bathroom area, my child commented on his "plumber's crack" and the horrible body odor left behind. Febreze available? Due to COVID, the rooms had limited stocked items. My wife had a hair dryer sent up. The maintenance employee chuckled that he couldn't understand why the items were removed because they aren't disinfected. Just moved to an empty room for show. Upon checkout, I intended to mention these issues to the General Manager. After briefly meeting the GM, I understood better the "get what you can". If staff obviously can't take care of themselves, how can they take care of guests? I highly recommend The Best Western next door. Many more amenities and a superb staff.

Location is Everything
I gave a 4 out of 5 since this is an older hotel with older amenities. Otherwise, we loved everything about it: great indoor pool + hot tub area; very nice team; proximity to Grand Canyon. It is going to be my choice number one if coming back and if Grand Canyon lodging is too expensive. Lots of restaurants close by too. :)

Doesn’t worth to stay
The location was perfect to visit Grand Canyon. But the hotel was pretty old and overpriced. We expect the regular room but it was barrier free room, the bathroom had only curtains and water went everywhere.
Seemed like fridge wasn’t working.

We had a great stay here at this Holiday Inn Express. Nothing to complain about here. The front desk manager, Chris, was very though and efficient and Scott was also very kind as well. The hotel is a little dated and could use some upgrades to the rooms themselves, but overall it is the good quality we come to expect from the IHG hotels.

After a fast and friendly check-in, we went to our room in the "adults only" building. The bedroom was separate from the living area, but we were still somewhat cramped for space. We couldn't find a good place for the suitcase. The room had a mini-fridge (no freezer) and a microwave. The walls were thin--we heard lots of noise from the hallway and from other rooms. The bed and sofa were comfortable. The bathroom was tiny but had adequate counter space. The bathroom fan was noisy and useless. The shower head was good. We had problems with the internet in the morning. We had a good pizza dinner at We Cook Pizza & Pasta. The hotel served an excellent breakfast with hot and cold items.
