Not fancy , but the right place to stay when visiting Grand Canyon.

The Holiday Inn Express was a solid place to stay while visiting Grand Canyon. By no means fancy, but it was clean, comfortable, affordable, has a free breakfast, and the pool and hot tub were clean and a decent size. If you're there, it's to see Grand Canyon, not for a luxury stay, so it was exactly what we needed.

We were very pleased with our stay here. Staff was extremely friendly, our room was comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was very good. Parking was easy. This hotel is in a great location with a visitor center right up the street, a market and restaurants. Minutes from the entrance to the grand canyon. We found this to be a great option if not staying directly in the park and well worth the price.

We booked a one king, one bunkbed 2 bedroom suite for a couple of nights over the winter holiday. The relatively spacious suite featured a small living room and kitchenette with microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker. The beds were comfortable, but had small pillows. The bathroom was also small, with the sink outside and the toilet and tub/shower behind the bathroom door. Service was very prompt when we asked for extra blankets and the room was quiet and comfortable. Wifi was great in our suite. The blinds in the bunkbed room didn't block out all the light for sleeping but the curtain in the main bedroom was good. The (included) breakfast was generous and the two attendants in the breakfast room gave incredible service. They greeted everyone that entered, helped people getting food and drinks and were friendly and cheerful. I've never seen service like this for an included breakfast at a hotel before, they were excellent. The room was pricey but of course it is the Grand Canyon so it is to be expected. The entry to the park is just a few minutes drive down the road, so we were able to enter quickly after our breakfast and beat the crowds onto the trails.

Location was why we stayed here, close to GCNP entrance. We were glad to be able to book a room, but this was not the best HIX. The only reason it's so expensive is because of its location. HIX is our preferred hotel on the road, but we were disappointed with this one. It was clean and had the hot breakfast, but had terrible paper products and the smallest bathroom I've ever seen in a hotel

A great hotel in Tusayan. Nice and close to the Grand Canyon National Park South Rim. It was easy to find. Check in was quick and simple. We were in the detached "99" building across the road, but it was perfectly fine. The room was clean, quiet, and spacious. The free hot breakfast was a great way to start the day. It was the most expensive hotel of our 4 week USA holiday, but it was comparable to the other hotels in Tusayan and definitely worth staying at for the convenient location. The free breakfast and free parking (compared to other hotels on our trip that charged a fair bit for parking and/or didn't offer free breakfast) offset the above-average nightly rate. I would stay here again.
