A truly memorable vacation. A great group of people...the owners, wranglers and support staff all made us feel welcome during our week long "dude" stay. We never ran out of things to do, such as horseback riding, touring Yellowstone and the Beartooth mountains, fishing and relaxing around the campfire to name a few. Nice rustic, no frills cabins were clean and comfortable. Good home cooked food and friendly, accommodating staff. We would do this again in a heartbeat. Thanks again everyone for a great time!

Horseback adventure in the back country

Rachel and Olivia, our trail guides, were SO friendly and helpful. Our family of 6 REALLY enjoyed our horseback ride through Blackwater Creek. We trekked through the backcountry on a 2-hour adventure that my teens said was one of the highlights of our vacation. I am SO glad we chose Blackwater Creek Ranch because we got to cross a stream, ride into the beautiful backcountry and see so much of the surrounding area we wouldn't normally have seen. The ranch itself looks like a great place to stay with individual cabins and dining on-site. We would definitely go back and stay on our next trip to Wyoming. Book with Diane, she is very nice and accommodated a trail time change for us when our plans had changed!

Loved these cabins which were clean....people were the nicest....so quiet...close to Yellowstone and food was really good. Loved the creeks you could sit outside your cabin and it was so relaxing. Never needed Air or TV. We stayed in Blackfoot Cabin beds were very comfortable and we could turn on heat if we needed. Need to eat breakfast and dinner at lodge as there are not any places to eat at Yellowstone other then at Old Faithful and it is a cafeteria.

We spent two nights at Blackwater Creek. The first night, we were late getting in, so we called to let them know we were running behind. Johnie and Diana made sure to save some food for us in the lodge for dinner. It almost felt like we were staying with family. Our son even stayed up at night playing cards and hanging out with employees. It's definitely rustic, but a wonderful place to experience nature.

I spent one night with my family on our way to Yellowstone...unfortunately only one night and I wish I could have staid longer! We booked a cabin with 5 beds: spacious and clean, all made of wood, beautiful! You can drive in and park right in fornt of your cabin. The place is beautiful, right in the nature with animals walking around early in the morning, amazing! Very nice location half way from Cody and West entrance of Yellowstone Park; the road from Cody to Yellowstone is so beautiful, and the ranch is right there. Highly recommended also for families, there are several nature activities that you can do. Hope to go back again.
