I enjoyed 1 night at the Best Western Plus Bryce Canyon Grand Hotel in June 2025. The hotel is just outside the entrance to the park, so very convenient for park visitors. There is a shuttle system that can be used to visit the park, although I did not take advantage of this. I drove into the park later in the day after checking in, and had no problem finding parking at any of the scenic lookout spots, including Sunset or Inspiration points. I chose this hotel for its proximity, as it seemed to be the best hotel closest to the park. The room was as advertised - no disappointments and a few pleasant surprises. Normally I prefer a hotel that has a separate / glassed-in shower. This one had a tub/shower combo, and it surprisingly had one of the best showers on my trip. The water pressure was perfect, and it left my hair feeling silky smooth. There was a curved shower rod to keep the curtain from touching me during the shower, and there was plenty of shelf space for my extra toiletries. Only complaint is that the towels were a little on the tiny side. Bed was comfortable. I viewed the back side of the property with Grand Staircase Escalante in the distance. Room was basic but clean. There was a microwave and mini fridge. Dining options in the area were pretty slim. I chose a diner across the street and had a very mediocre burger (and I’m not very picky when it comes to burgers). I wish the hotel had some options in the evening, although the places across the street are in walking distance, and a summary of nearby dining options is provided at check in, which I appreciated. Staff was friendly at check in and check out. Overall a good choice for Bryce Canyon visitors, especially if you want to see the park later in the day or early in the morning. To otherwise stay someplace better, you’d probably have to stay at least 2 hours away from the park in either direction.

It’s ok.

It’s a best western which if I’m honest isn’t one of my favorite hotel brands but it’s a nicer best western than others. First I’ll start with the room. A big room with 2 queen beds. The room was clean and some of us liked the beds and some of us didn’t. The AC was kinda a hot mess. Just couldn’t keep up. Breakfast was ok but honestly we barely ate. The coffee was not good. I didn’t matter how many times we tried it it just wasn’t good. I will add one more note…there was a gentleman at the front desk that I found rude just listening to him on the phone. Thankfully we had a lovely lady help us check in.

Ignored for Two Hours While Manager Did Nothing

We unfortunately had an extremely disappointing experience upon arrival due to a problem with our hotel reservation made through Booking. While we understand that technical issues between platforms can sometimes occur, what was truly unacceptable was the way the situation was handled — or rather ignored — by Sam, who introduced herself as the manager. From the moment we arrived, Sam showed no willingness to help, not even to listen. We were left standing in the lobby for over two hours without a single clear explanation, no apology, no empathy, and certainly no attempt to offer a solution. She simply dismissed us, telling us to deal with Booking directly, with a tone that was both cold and condescending. Despite her position as a manager, she made no effort to support or assist us in any way. What made the situation even more outrageous is that the hotel had already charged us for two nights — the rooms were fully paid — and yet Sam still refused to accommodate us. She blamed a communication issue between the hotel and Booking, but that was not our responsibility. We had proof of payment, yet we were treated as if we hadn’t booked anything at all. To make matters worse, several other guests who witnessed the scene actually showed more concern and compassion than the manager herself. They came over, asked if they could help, and were visibly shocked by how we were being treated. It was incredibly humbling to see strangers try to assist us, while the very person responsible for guest relations stood by, indifferent. This experience left us stunned. There were no apologies, no gesture of goodwill, and no attempt to make us feel welcome. In the end, it was Booking — not the hotel — that found us an alternative. Sam’s lack of professionalism, empathy, and basic courtesy was appalling, and certainly not what one expects from someone in a managerial role. Mistakes can happen — that we understand. But how you handle them is what defines the quality of service. In this case, the management’s response was a complete failure, and it left us with a bitter impression, despite the otherwise pleasant surroundings of the hotel.

A great place to stay in Bryce Canyon City! The staff is friendly and helpful, the hotel is clean and comfortable and the complimentary breakfast is plentiful - it’s super busy though! The park shuttle stops right next to the hotel and there is plenty of parking. The three restaurants in town are all just a few minutes walk away. I’m extremely picky about beds so if you are too, these are very soft.

This was a great facility for anyone wanting to visit Bryce Canyon. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, hot tub was nice to use after a long day hiking in Bryce Canyon and the laudry area was clean and had everything we needed The hotel also had plenty of free parking, and a shuttle bus to take you into town and the park.
