It’s a best western which if I’m honest isn’t one of my favorite hotel brands but it’s a nicer best western than others. First I’ll start with the room. A big room with 2 queen beds. The room was clean and some of us liked the beds and some of us didn’t. The AC was kinda a hot mess. Just couldn’t keep up. Breakfast was ok but honestly we barely ate. The coffee was not good. I didn’t matter how many times we tried it it just wasn’t good. I will add one more note…there was a gentleman at the front desk that I found rude just listening to him on the phone. Thankfully we had a lovely lady help us check in.

Ignored for Two Hours While Manager Did Nothing

We unfortunately had an extremely disappointing experience upon arrival due to a problem with our hotel reservation made through Booking. While we understand that technical issues between platforms can sometimes occur, what was truly unacceptable was the way the situation was handled — or rather ignored — by Sam, who introduced herself as the manager. From the moment we arrived, Sam showed no willingness to help, not even to listen. We were left standing in the lobby for over two hours without a single clear explanation, no apology, no empathy, and certainly no attempt to offer a solution. She simply dismissed us, telling us to deal with Booking directly, with a tone that was both cold and condescending. Despite her position as a manager, she made no effort to support or assist us in any way. What made the situation even more outrageous is that the hotel had already charged us for two nights — the rooms were fully paid — and yet Sam still refused to accommodate us. She blamed a communication issue between the hotel and Booking, but that was not our responsibility. We had proof of payment, yet we were treated as if we hadn’t booked anything at all. To make matters worse, several other guests who witnessed the scene actually showed more concern and compassion than the manager herself. They came over, asked if they could help, and were visibly shocked by how we were being treated. It was incredibly humbling to see strangers try to assist us, while the very person responsible for guest relations stood by, indifferent. This experience left us stunned. There were no apologies, no gesture of goodwill, and no attempt to make us feel welcome. In the end, it was Booking — not the hotel — that found us an alternative. Sam’s lack of professionalism, empathy, and basic courtesy was appalling, and certainly not what one expects from someone in a managerial role. Mistakes can happen — that we understand. But how you handle them is what defines the quality of service. In this case, the management’s response was a complete failure, and it left us with a bitter impression, despite the otherwise pleasant surroundings of the hotel.

A great place to stay in Bryce Canyon City! The staff is friendly and helpful, the hotel is clean and comfortable and the complimentary breakfast is plentiful - it’s super busy though! The park shuttle stops right next to the hotel and there is plenty of parking. The three restaurants in town are all just a few minutes walk away. I’m extremely picky about beds so if you are too, these are very soft.

This was a great facility for anyone wanting to visit Bryce Canyon. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, hot tub was nice to use after a long day hiking in Bryce Canyon and the laudry area was clean and had everything we needed The hotel also had plenty of free parking, and a shuttle bus to take you into town and the park.

We were three couples and stayed at the Best Western Plus Bryce Canyon Grand Hotel during our trip to various National Parks in Utah during early May 2025. The location was great, just outside the National Park. We got two rooms with a connecting door that was very convenient. The bedding was extremely comfortable. With a coffee maker and Starbucks coffee the morning started briskly. The mini refrigerator and microwave oven in the room were handy to store and reheat food. The hotel offered free breakfast that we could not avail as it started only at 6:30 am. However, we were offered a Grab and Go breakfast (a brown bag with a cereal bar, fruit, and a bottle of water) to get started with our outdoor activities before sunrise. The hotel had a nice lounge with a coffee vending machine (24 hours). It had some amnesties such as general store/giftshop that guests can avail at the Best Western Ruby Lodge across the street. A laundry facility was available. The hotel and the rooms were clean and very appealing. There is plenty of parking. The Bryce Canyon National Park shuttle service and many other outdoor activities were within a short distance (less than 2 miles). We stayed one night in the Lodge at Bryce Canyon inside the National Park for its proximity to Sunrise and Sunset Points, and to the rim of the Canyon. However, staying at the Best Western was also convenient as we could take the Park Shuttle Bus without concern of finding parking near viewing area or trailheads. We enjoyed our comfortable and relaxing stay at the Best Western Bryce Canyon Grand Hotel after outdoor activities at the National Park. I will recommend the Best Western Bryce Canyon Grand Hotel during your visit without any reservations.
