It was a very comfortable room on the first floor of a unit, not a cabin. Very clean, beds were comfy. The only issue was that the people upstairs woke us up at 2:30 AM and again at 4:30 AM walking around like elephants! The floors are not carpeted so sound carries. Of course the managent can't control this, but if you are a light sleeper (or regular!) you might want ear plugs. The walls were plenty sound proof. Maybe we just had bad luck. Overall, the service was super friendly and the food was great. I would stay here again!

Convenient lodge to Grand Canyon.

The lodge is convenient to the Grand Canyon north rim - 20 min. It is the only place around. The staff were very friendly. Our room was clean. The view from the lodge porch was gorgeous- including the free range cattle that also come up to the lodge area. Dinner was a basic buffet.

We knew that Kaibab Lodge was going to be really basic and rustic in spite of the huge price, and we accepted that for the great location to the North Rim. It was clean, so that part was great. What we expected, though, was much better hospitality. Our room that sleeps 4 had only 2 Keurig coffee pods, 3 coffee cups (one of which had coffee stains so had already been used by a prior guest) an almost empty tissue box, and the last straw for us: no ice machine. After paying over $200 for this very basic toom with 2 beds, a toilet and a shower stall, they still expected us to pay $3 for a small bag of ice. So disappointed by their lack of desire to create happy customers, because it really would have been a great option for future trips to the North Rim.

Very pleasant place with EV charging so either slow.

Having EV charging makes this the five star place to stay if you are headed to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon in a Tesla. Rustic cabin for sure…be sure to get directions on how to turn on the gas heater. We were coming from Page AZ and the navigation said we had enough to make it back to the Page charger…did not turn out that way and no way to charge in the National Park (South Rim had free charger with our lodging there). Very friendly staff and very nice lodge gathering area. WiFi in Lodge. Beware of no cellular service on the road into the area except in the Park near the rim and lodge. Beautiful area full of aspen trees and Ponderosa pines…peaceful and serene. Be sure to visit the North Rim but come prepared.

Better than what I expected

We were really nervous about staying here after reading the reviews on google, but this was the only place we could find available near the North Rim. But we were thankful to find the cabin clean and tidy. The bathroom was very small and didn’t have ventilation so there was mold along the ceiling. But the beds were decent and the only pests we dealt with were spiders.
