We were really nervous about staying here after reading the reviews on google, but this was the only place we could find available near the North Rim. But we were thankful to find the cabin clean and tidy. The bathroom was very small and didn’t have ventilation so there was mold along the ceiling. But the beds were decent and the only pests we dealt with were spiders.

The rooms are amazing. If u like solitude and great food this is a great place.no tv, no hair drivers. The food at the resteraunt is limited. But huge huge portions and very delicious. The only wi-fi is at the lodge. We will go back again. Thank you

The Buffet menu had items that did not exist on the buffet table. It said it had WILD COD & BBQ Chicken. NOT ANY COD and the BBQ Chicken was Chicken wings. When the 4 of us Paid $29.95 plus tax & they hit you up for a tip. With out a tip $32.74. We were the 1st inline. We go over to this short buffet table and NO WILD COD and Only Chicken wings. Some other sides that looked like they got that from Costco. WE ASKed "Where's the Wild COD? Then broken English man that came out of the kitchen said. Oh so sorry, we out of Cod. I said how could you be out we are the 1st 4 ppl in line to eat. He said we don't have any at all. That was the 1st night we stayed there and decided not to have anymore meals. Infact one of the guys in our party went back for a refund and ate a sandwich he had brought.$32.74 and they wanted a tip on that? RIP OFF!!! We stayed in a cabin called SAM's CABIN. The top bunk bed is 1 foot from the ceiling that the smallest guy in our party struggled to get in bed. The heater didn't work. the shotty maintenance is better at Sanford & Son's. They use Caulk for everything. The mice in our room every night knows where the trash cans are. We finally had to pick the trash cans off the floor to make the mice go away. My friends and I decided we would stay for our 3 nights and leave. Next time we will stay at Jacob Lake Cabins. Of all the places we looked at online. We wished we had gone to the other places. I stay here one time 20 years ago and it used to be a nice place. NOT ANYMORE. Find some other place and be sure to asked about the best places to eat. Jacob Lake was good breakfast & The N. Rim Lodge Dining was the best. DON"T EAT THE FOOD AT KAIBAB LODGE! Oh and their Ice Cream machine didn't work. Seemed to have a permanente sign on it that said; Temporarily out of order". Just a waste of money for overpriced everything.

It fulfilled what we needed but was expensive for what we received. Place was old, no shampoo, conditioner or soap. Meals were expensive too for what you received. Not really any other choices in the area though so plan you food before coming. $20 for an average breakfast and $30 for an average dinner. Staff were nice but not overly welcoming. The mice in the sink was a nice tough :-)

Finally did rim to rim in the canyon! I could not have done it without the kaibab lodge. It was an excellent place to start the experience. Everything about lodge was excellent. People were nice and friendly. The shuttle service got me to the trail head when they said they would. The sky was awesome and food was great. Will never forget the experience.
