A poor return for your money

We stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is close to the Arche's park entrance but not close to the main street shops and restaurants. The room was quite large but its decor bland and the grey/brown colors all around the corridors and room left me a bit depressed. The breakfast buffet was the poorest we've had during our holiday. It lacked bagels, cream cheese and muffins or any other cookies/cakes you could have with your coffee. There was only one choice of white bread, nothing else. The pool and hot tub were nice though, as well as the sitting area by the pool. In short, for the sum we payed , it was a poor return for our money.

This Inn is very nice. Rooms are large and air-conditioned, but... the staff are second to none! Nothing was too much trouble, and when our driver left us .. literally, in the porch waiting to be taken to town, the Hotel staff dropped everything to shuttle people to town/medical centre/jeep ride, which had been pre booked. Come and sample their home made cookies!!

I am always leery when a non-branded hotel has good reviews and is very reasonable in price. This place has a separate bedroom and living area. Very clean and upkept room. Nice clean pool outside. A full breakfast with two employees keeping the tables clean and the food ready. Just a very wonderful stay!

Great stay closer to the National Park

I really struggled to book a hotel in Moab, with a family of 5 and the prices so high per night. On departing, I was really pleased I booked this hotel. It is out of town, so a car is definitely preferred for ease of getting around. It is one of the closest to the entrance of the National Park, however it is still a good distance to get to the entrance. I noticed late afternoon, most the hotels in the centre of town would have received loud traffic noise and I was so pleased with my choice of Aarchway as it is a little tucked back off the main road and it was really peaceful. We had a room with 3 queen beds and we requested a rollaway in the room, which was waiting on our arrival. The room also had a small round table with 4 chairs. The shape of the room was more an L shape, so although 5 were in one room, one queen bed was in it's own little nook you could say and we didn't all feel on top of one another. It did get a little squished with the rollaway open, but it was only overnight. There were two tvs in the room, however we only used the one. The wash basin was separate from the shower and toilet which worked fine. The shower pressure was great. There was a hip height refrigerator, a microwave and coffee pot and a good supply of disposable cups. We actually had plenty of towels, The bed was comfortable with one person, but I found with a second person in the bed there was a roll into the centre, making it a not so comfortable night sleep. Our room was on the ground floor at the far end of the property, so we had an exit door, near our room for ease of bringing in bags. I especially loved how we could open the window for fresh air, so whenever in the room, the window was open. The property is on two floors and there is an elevator. At 1:30am we were woken by the people above. The floor made so much noise it sounded like they were moving furniture. After a sunrise trek, I took a mid afternoon nap and again, I was woken by people walking above. I couldn't believe how loud it was. The property has a laundry with four washers and four dryers for a 1.75 per use. We used two washers and set the cycle to cold. My washing in both machines came out piping hot. I told one of the front desk staff and he just looked at me. The following morning I spoke to Venjamin who had quite a sense of humour when we checked in. He took on board my comments and immediately set to getting the problem resolved. 100% understood how disappointing this would be if a guest put an item in the machine that would shrink in hot water. On check out, he also followed up on the issue and explained what the property were doing to rectify the situation. Venjamin is one of the first service staff to actually listen and acknowledge me when I have feedback. He is a real credit to this property. There is a pool and hot tub, but we did not use. There is a lovely grassed area out the back of the property, which we didn't get time to enjoy. There is also a charging station for electric cars,. The breakfast room was large and a good selection of choices, both hot and cold for breakfast. We left breakfast to near closing on our first morning and most the hot food was cold, although the next morning, my daughter said the breakfast was better, but she went a lot earlier. There is a small coffee shop in the foyer and I bought coffee each day of my visit. If you are visiting from Australia you will understand.... this is one of the closest coffees I have had to home.
