Great Marriott property. Staff was very helpful, pleasant, and courteous. Very clean, spacious, and updated rooms. Nice breakfast, well stocked with plenty of coffee available in the lobby, as in 10 pots lined up in a row....very nice and very thoughtful! Management gets it. Rooms have refrigerator, microwave, and a nice balcony with Adirondack-style chairs. Well manicured landscaping. Incredible views; our room faced the mountain instead of the village but you're in a canyon so the village side has a mountain view too. Very short walk to bus stop #6 as well as several restaurants. The whole town of Springdale is a gem with a coherent, higher-end-yet-relaxed look and feel. It has probably the best pubic transportation system in the entire U.S., especially for a city of its size. It has an Aspen / Jackson Hole / Vail type vibe, and everyone is respectful and considerate toward one another, especially with regard to COVID. Tons of shops, restaurants, a couple of grocery stores, outfitters, a craft brewery, etc. Picturesque. Anywhere you stay in Springdale will have beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Thanks Marriott for a wonderful and memorable vacation!

The good, the fair, and the bad

This was the last hotel we visited in during a 9 night visit to Utah’s mighty 5 national parks. We were there for 4 nights. We were platinum members - turned titanium after this stay. Good- the hotel common areas are beautiful, the breakfast offered a great selection of delicious food, convenient parking area, and it was nice to have a microwave and refrigerator in the room. The pool area was nice and the fire pit sitting area was very relaxing in the evenings. Fair - the room was an adequate size for 2 people. The bathroom while roomy offered limited counter space. The pillows were mediocre at best. Bad- we choose this hotel in part to have a hot tub to relax in while on a hiking trip- it was out of order our entire stay! The front desk staff bordered on rude when asked about complimentary water on a 98° day at check, the staff member informed me that they didn’t offer water to platinum members - also told us we had the smallest room type and that there was no upgrade.

Terrible management. Be aware of rude employees and nasty pool.

We visited spring hills suites for the purpose of visiting Zion National Park. We arrived to the hotel early (around 12:30) and recognized that we might not be able to do early check in. The employee working at the front desk let us know since it was busy season, they did not have a room that was available for us, but she would let us know when we could get into a room. We stayed in the lobby for about an hour. Still no check in. So we decided to go around the town and explore some of the smaller shops. Once we came back, about 30 minutes from normal check in, we were told there are still no rooms available. We decided to go into the park and do a smaller hike and thought that when we came back, we would for sure be able to get into our room. We came back at 4:30 (promised check-in time was at 3:00) and a new person was working at the front desk. We were told our room was still not ready. Went back out to the car to come up with a plan and our daughter went in to use the bathroom after hiking. As she was walking through the lobby, the employee working was very rude and asked if she could help her. Not the way to be treating a guest who was simply going to the lobby restroom since our room wasn’t ready. She acted like she didn’t belong in the hotel room. Must have been since she was in her hiking boots and looked exhausted after hiking at two national parks that day. Around 5 pm, we went back into the hotel very frustrated at this point. The same rude employee working at the front desk informed us that because we used points for our stay, we were moved to the bottom of the check-in list. She was very rude when we wanted to get into our room so we could get unpacked and settled after a long day. These same points that were used to stay at this hotel were earned by staying at other marriotts. Not a great way to treat someone who is gold elite member and stays at several marriotts a year. We were also on a 2 week national park tour and had stayed at several marriotts on this trip. We finally got checked in to our room at 5:15. Note that this was over 2 hours after our promised check in time. After FINALLY getting into our room, we decided to go to the pool. It was very busy when we arrived and most of the adults were drinking while at the pool. This is fine, until it gets out of control with people not watching their kids or getting extremely loud and using inappropriate language. After we got in, we realized how dirty the pool was. There were several massive hair balls floating around. You can tell that the pool was not taken care of with this. Later that night, we asked if we could get late check out. The lady (same rude one) told us that I suppose we could have late check out if we wanted to. We asked for an hour later so after hiking the narrows, we could shower and pack. Again, so frustrating on how she treated us. The employee who we started dealing with right away previously was back at the front desk. She apologized but didn’t care about our experience. We emailed management after our visit and they just used the excuse of short staff for not getting us into our room. Too many people requested late check out. Seems like there is a major management issue going on that needs to be fixed. If I could give this zero stars, I would. If I go back to Zion, we will be staying at another hotel. The Holiday Inn looked wonderful across the street. Wishing we would have stayed there instead.

Great customer service under unusual circumstances

First, it is a beautiful property. Even though our room faced the parking lot you still had a view of the mountains and honestly who is there to hang out in the room. What really impressed me what the great customer service from beginning to end. The power went out in all of Zion for a few awhile one evening and the lady at the front desk whose name I can not recall handled it wonderfully. The whole front desk crew jumped into action. The location and pool are amazing. *The only suggestion I have for the property is to have full length mirrors in the rooms but obviously that is just a personal preference.

CLEAN and a the breakfast provides a great way to start the day

When you walk into the lobby and see the huge picture window at the end framing the mountain, you know that it is going to be a good stay. Our room provided plenty of space - sofa/trundle bed for our son, separated by a desk and a frosted glass window (not the whole length of the room, but enough to give a bit of privacy). Kind bed and a large bathroom that shut with a sliding barn door. Mini fridge to store snacks and beer as well as a microwave (I think). The whole hotel, including the room, was super CLEAN. We stayed for two nights and they apologized that they did not have the staffing for in between cleanings. I was perfectly fine with this....and when COVID is no longer a concern, on two night stays will probably request this. Our stay included breakfast at the hotel. Lots of choices and pretty good that likely will satisfy most picky eaters. For our days outside, it was the perfect start to the day. I liked that they had suggestions for the provided oatmeal or eggs (add salsa, cheese, and spinach). Very happy with our stay.
