First off, the beds are super-comfortable. The Entrada is our go-to place in the Grand Staircase-Escalante area. There are two buildings, each with 4 rooms. Rooms 1-4 are pet-free, rooms 5-8 accept pets. Each has a kitchen, fully stocked with tools (including a grater, for nachos) and service for 4. They also have a special coffee blend, and you can borrow a french press. The back patios offer outdoor seating, with a propane grill for each building. The bathrooms are palatial. A wonderful place to come home to after a day of canyoneering. Remember that it's not the Four Seasons -- the main reason you come to Escalante is to get dirty, so it's really nice that they have guest laundry and a basket of extra towels just for cleaning, and a double-sized shower. There are modern TVs that can play Netflix, but why would you want to watch TV when the view faces the stunning sandstone cliffs? The grocery store down the hill covers the basics, including meat from local cows (totally worth grilling), but note that the store is only open from 9-6.

This was a very affordable, well appointed room. Very modern and convenient to local hikes (Peek-a-boo and Spooky slot canyons - great hike). There was a great little pizza place a few blocks down in the same building as an outfitter. Veg pizza was fantastic!! The check-in process was no contact, handled easily by phone due to the current pandemic. The staff was available by phone if needed. I would DEFINITELY stay here again. The only minor knock is the high wall mounted heater was very loud, but given it was 10 degrees outside it was a minor inconvenience.

Comfortable bed, nice chair and table to eat, great little patio to have a beer and look out at the beautiful scenery. Would highly recommend this place best room this vacation hands down and shower big enough for 2 😉 😉. Also really close to trails.

Unpretentious and lovely.

We stayed in the spacious King Suite, which was comfortable and luxurious. The hotel has every amenity you could want, including a washer/dryer for guests (which, after a week of camping, felt like a miracle). The suite has a full fridge, stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, and plug-in hot water kettle. Gorgeous shower with double shower heads. Bed is super comfy. Outdoor patio with seating and a grill. Love this place!

We stayed in #3 which had 2 queen beds, a kitchenette as well as outdoor grill, spacious bathroom with a separate toilet and an additional sink. We enjoyed the complimentary snacks as well as the fresh ground organic coffee and organic tea. Great location as base to see the surrounding natural beauty. Didn't have time to see everything so we'll have to go back. Wonderful staff- General Manager, Tara, and housekeeper, Stephanie. Special thanks to Mark Meinert Austin, builder and owner of the lodge.
