If I could go back and reserve two nights here, instead of one night at Bryce Canyon and one night here, The rooms were immaculate, the view was stunning, Tara (Manager) was beyond amazing. She called me two days ahead of our reservation to tell me, in person, about the stay and the measures they have taken during the current COVID pandemic, to ensure a safe stay. The Lodge is located in the middle of the small town of Escalante, with trailheads to the beautiful area within walking/riding/bicycling distance. The rooms were equipt with a French Press, with freshly ground local coffee; wine glasses & corkscrew; a table that opened up to accommodate 4 people if necessary; silverware; microwave; fridge w/separate freezer on top; Smart TV (although the local cable service was a bit spotty); and everything one would need to make their stay comfortable. They provided both white fluffy towels, and brown ones. Why is that important? If you play in the deserts of Southern Utah, you will understand why. The sink had both hand soap and lotion in dispensers, which I love as that means little waste. The shower had Shampoo, Conditioner & Body Wash in the same beautiful dispensers. The glasses were glass, the coffee cups were ceramic mugs, the silverware was silverware instead of plastic. They have done a great job at reducing waste; which is very important to me. The rooms had doors in the front and the back, with a patio out the back door, looking out at the beautiful Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Each room had outdoor chairs & table, with a community BBQ to use within the 4 room building. There were several buildings with the same setup. While we were packing to leave, Tara was laundering towels in our building, and she greeted us, and our dogs, in the friendliest manner. She gave us tips on where to visit, where to grab a healthy breakfast to go, and out of the way secret spots that are not "on the web." (and NO, I will not post them). She and her husband relocated from the east coast

We decided to take a road trip over the holiday weekend to the Escalante National Monument. We decided to stay at the Entrada because they were pet friendly and very well rated. We had a great experience. The features I really appreciated were the covered patio with sitting area. The rooms are a nice size. They did contactless check in but were very prompt if you needed anything. The in room French press and coffee were great too. Thank you for your hospitality we had a great stay! It was very clean and well maintained.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night stay. It was perfect before we started our hike in Boulder ( Boulder Mail Trail - Death Hollow) the next morning. ( Beautiful sunrise) Everything was perfect, clean and comfortable. We had our family in an adjoining room and our back patio connected. We had pizza at our tables and enjoyed a comfortable covered evening from the sun. I could not recommend this place enough. We have traveled all over the US and stayed in many inns and small independently owned hotels; this is right up there with the best, and in little Escalante, UT. Oh and by the way Tara and her husband the managers were so accommodating and helpful. Don’t look further if there is availability.

We booked the "King Suite" for one night because we wanted to come up the Burr Trail (from Ticaboo, after hiking at Natural Bridges and driving through Hite), and we wanted to be able to rest for the evening without having to drive all the way west to Cedar City for a decent hotel. This lodge was perfect -- from the linens to the towels to the dual shower heads to the fully equipped kitchen, it felt like being at home. The back patio w/ grill and patio seating was a nice touch, and check-in etc. was effortless. For context, I travel extensively for business (75+ nights w/ Marriott, 60+ w/ Hyatt, annually) and typically feel like I have to expect the worst in small-town inns when on leisure trips with my wife, so this place was a breath of fresh air!
