Wife and I absolutely Loved this place. Imagine Bill Cody standing there right in front of you is how realistic it was for us. The Lodge is incredible with nostalgia all around. The Hilton it's not but way too cool as a place of lodging. There was a big bear about 1/4 mile up the road from the lodge the night we stayed there. Great Bar too. When we go back that way this place is on our favorite list to see and stay at again. Russ and Jules

My best friend and I stayed for a week at the Pahaska Tepee Resort, and I have mostly great things to say about the place. The staff was absolutely great when it came to answer questions, giving assistance and knowledge about the surrounding area and local activities. The food in the restaurant is excellent, and the gift store is decently priced. My only issue is that they need to put more secure locks on the cabin doors. The room doors in the cabins only have your standard doorknob lock, nothing more. At the very least, a security chain, such as the ones commonly found in hotel rooms, would be a good addition. I would gladly stay at this resort again if I ever visit Yellowstone National Park again. DawnC714

First the good: Great location, only 2 miles from the park entrance. Quiet at night. The bad: ridiculously hot, which the hotel could easily remedy with simple fans. There were dead insects in the room. Worst of all - the bed sheets hadn't been changed since the last customer; there were long human hairs and sparkly body glitter on the sheets and pillow cases. We won't be staying again.

Ok...so after reading some of the other reviews. Be careful when booking at this place. We were in a cabin with 2 queen beds. The beds were ok...not super soft, but not terribly hard. The bathroom was not really clean. The shower gel was empty, so we had to dig ours out. The heater in the corner was COVERED with dust bunnies. I cannot imagine the first time it is turned on for the winter. As we settled in, we realized that there was no AC in the room. We were very glad that we had a portable fan to put in the window to help with airflow. Then the people checked in above us...we misearbly listed to the AC unit in thier space run all night as we sweated trying to get some sleep. When we checked in, I waited at the counter for 10-15 minutes as the person to check me in was on the phone. The customer on the line was trying to reserve a room for the night but her credit card was in the trunk. The rest doesn't really matter, I just wish that the person checking me in would have asked the to hold on after a few minutes rather than leaving me hanging. That being said...I would definitely CALL this resort before booking. The location is amazing! But seems that there are many different types of rooms. Even thought I hate calling to talk to someone...I would absolutely CALL AND ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BOOKING!

Restaurant: EXCELLENT Staff: EXCELLENT Little Cabin: Cozy, CLEAN, quiet and comfy. If it’s going to be hot, bring a small fan. It’s almost like tent camping (no fridge/microwave or TV.) Location to Yellowstone: You can’t get any closer to the East entrance. We took a guided tour from Cody (Covered Ground Tours) and they picked us up right in front of the resort. Highly recommend Pahaska Tepee and will definitely return.
