Not as great as it looked

From the photos and reviews, this place seemed awesome. However, in reality, it was different. The rooms are dated, which is fair enough, but with that came an extremely ineffective air con unit. When the temperature is 36 C outside, you need something that works properly. We had reserved two rooms and it was an issue in both. In one, the unit was nowhere near cool enough and also turned itself off in the night. Meaning that two of our party had a series of bad nights’ sleep, where they woke up several times, far too hot. In the other room, the unit simply turned itself off then back on again, meaning that the noise of it turning on throughout the night, after being off, kept waking us up. Also, do not bother with the breakfast here - go to cafe Soleil across the road. Finally, for the money you pay for this place, you expect all of the above not to be an issue.

Close to Zion entrance with shuttle across the street. Large, comfortable rooms and beds. Pretty grounds. Well maintained. Lovely inn. Breakfast included at great restaurant next door. We also had dinner there.

We loved Flanigan's Inn. We had two adjoining patio rooms, and it was lovely to sit out and enjoy a drink or morning coffee. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, and the staff is welcoming and helpful. We used the hot tub to dangle our tired feet in the warm water, and we felt refreshed. The breakfast buffet was ample and good, and I had a wonderful evening meal at the Spotted Dog Restaurant, which is on site. Would love to come back to Zion some day and if I do, I would certainly want to stay at Flanigan's.

Best in town

Easy to see why the walking tour companies use this place. Rustic construction, greenery, balconies, nice pool. Rooms are fine and very clean, and although i usually don’t notice, the toiletries were terrific, from their spa. Their buffet breakfast is offered at a discount to guests, making it by far the best deal i. Springdale. Excellent location next to the towns best ice cream and a wonderful all purpose store for trip needs and souvenirs. A ten minute walk to park entrance removes need to use in town shuttle. Their restaurant is also among the best in town. Nothing here not to like. Including an extraordinarily gracious front desk staff.

After a long drive on our roadtrip. We were amazed by the landscape in Zion...then we checked into this little oasis of a hotel. We were greeted at the front desk by Kimberley and her gentle present energy. She was the first we engaged with in Zion and she set the tone for a wonderful experience there. I hope you encounter her too.
