Beautiful views of the river and surrounding mountains. Live music with free wine and snacks were a welcome surprise the evening we checked in. Nice lobby and reception area. The breakfast area was under construction so we had to go elsewhere for breakfast.

Best place to stay in Springdale

Good rooms, well-kept grounds, very helpful staff, good amenities, just a few feet from the Village and the entrance to Zion. You can leave your car in the lot and walk to the entrance where you get on the park (not the Springdale) shuttle. Great view of the river and rocks from the back of the hotel. Will stay here again when we re-visit (have already been here twice). When we were there this time, the main pools were being resurfaced but they had the lower heated pool and hot tub open. Coffee service in the morning is nice; they say they're working on a restaurant, but that seems up in the air. We'll stay here again when we return. We haven't stayed in other places in Springdale, so I've rated this "the best" :)

Best location for Zion and good value

We initially tried for the Zion Lodge but it was booked and ended up at Cliffrose - that turned out to be great luck for us. This is the perfect location if you want to hike in Zion. During hiking season you can't drive through Zion - you have to use the parks shuttle buses. It is actually an incredibly efficent system with them running at least every 15 minutes but often more. They run through 9 stops and then back. The start is at the visitiors centre which is 200m from Cliffrose. From there a different shuttle runs the length of the town. Although good restaurants are within walking distance of the Cliffrose you can use this town shuttle to get to those further away. Self contained rooms are funtional and their are two pools - one heated. Although the resort doesn't not currently have a restaurant for breakfast or lunch that is not a problem as next door is the Cafe Soleil which serves excelelnt value breakfasts, lunches and coffees - perfect for an early start for a hike to Angels Landing

We parked the car and only got back in when we left. Pool under repair but hot tubs were very nice with great views. The beach, on the river, would be great in the summer. 5 min walk to the Park Entrance and the town shuttle stops just just across the street.

An excellent hotel with stunning views of the canyon and a five minute walk from the park shuttle. This is the place to stay if you want to be near to Zion and have all of the amenities of a modern hotel.
