Driftwood Lodge was terrific. Quiet, clean, modern. Not your run-of-the-mill hotel in an outlying town of a resort or National Park area. The property is situated on a river and backs up to an old farm building and meadow. We could walk to and hear the river from the porch on our room. There are many choices in Springdale close to the entrance of Zion, don't pass this one up. We will go back to the Driftwood Lodge the next time we are in the area.

Evening Stargazing Easy Here!
The Driftwood Lodge in Springdale, Utah is a simple 15 minute shuttle ride to Zion National Park. That is the #1 reason to stay at this hotel. Here are some more:
1. Easy check-in
2. Nice staff
3. Well appointed rooms ( ask the staff for a room with a beautiful view of the mountains and evening sky of stars)
4. Nice pool and hot tub
5. Free parking
6. Free coffee
Not so great is the restaurant that is affixed to the front office building. It is pleasant and the staff there is nice, too. But the menu is limited and has odd entries- like octopus
while there is very little for a child to eat!

LOVE LOVE LOVE
We stayed on the far side of Zion last year - it was nice to be out in the desolate east...but this year we wanted to be on the Springdale side. We chose the Driftwood Lodge due to its angle to the amazing red cliffs. Turns out our instincts were right. Perfect location. Nice amenities. Pool was perfect, and they have access to the river behind. The restaurant on site is a bit pricey but worth every penny. YUMMMMM. We were so satisfied we are coming back.
We like this end of Springdale - it's about 2 miles from the end of town. That end is a bit more bustling than we wanted. The Driftwood Lodge side is perfect. PERFECT.

Started in by having a great conversation with the gal at the front desk who helped us plan our hikes in Zion (Angel’s Landing and The Narrows). The room was spacious and had a nice TV. Most everything in town is within a mile walk away, plus shuttles are running most of the time. Would definitely stay here again!

Hotel is very beautifully located just outside Zion National Park. This offers great access to the park as well as to the numerous eating and shopping places in Springdale. Our room was tastefully decorated and had a very high quality feel to everything. Service was friendly and responsive. There was lots of space and a terrace offering fabulous views of the river and mountains. You felt right in the middle of nature. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and the menu offered a range of tempting choices. We would definitely return.
