My family and I planned a big trip out west, staying in several different hotels/cities. While we were gone, we found out that we had a death in the family and had to rush home to the East coast. The hotel we checked out of (we had another night to stay), gladly refunded our fee for our missed night, saying they thought it was the right thing to do. Driftwood Lodge is the only place/company that refused to refund our money for a missed stay for a death in the family. Our airline and other hotels were happy to return our money. I don't care how nice of a place this is, if owners and the management have no compassion for unexpected and unpleasant problems, it is not a place I would stay.

Great place to stay for Zion adventures!
We loved that this hotel is situated in Springdale, so close to the entrance to Zion. We loved how spacious our 2 queen room was, and the view of the backyard as well. Our room was very nicely decorated and well maintained. We loved the chairs for sitting outside our room. There are some things that could use attention or updating (carpet on outside walkway upstairs was pretty beat up and stained and pool and hot tub could use a good cleaning, as you could feel a lot of things under your feet - felt like maybe pieces of the grout or tile), but these things did not directly affect our stay. The lobby was very clean and very nicely decorated. The restaurant on site looked very nice, but we did not dine here only because there were not things my kids (picky eaters) would have eaten. Overall our family of four was very happy here and we would definitely stay here again!

Nice,cozy and family friendly!
Nice, cozy and family friendly place to stay! Great location! Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Parking is tight for anything but a small car. Right on the beach! We would definitely stay again.

Needs some upkeep
The best thing about this place was the view. This hotel is quite dated from the broken tiles in the bathroom to the busted toilet. The carpet just creeped me out and I refused to walk on it in my bare feet. The bed linens were questionable and the walls just need some fresh paint. There seemed to be no way to adjust the AC vents and the air blew on me the whole night. I usually welcome the cool air but this was too much. I could hear the people in the room above us walking very heavily all night long and it was hard to get any sleep. The pool pump was not working for the 2 days that we were there and even asking someone at the front desk about it on both days and it still never got fixed or turned on. People were still using the pool but there were alot of bugs floating in it since the pump was not on. Tiles in the pool were broken and grout was missing. The Hot Tub was OK. It is nice that the shuttle bus will take you everywhere and a stop is right in front of the hotel.

I enjoyed my stay here, have no complaints. Its clean, comfortable, and has amazing views. Close to the park, restaurants and shopping. My kids enjoyed the pool, and they have a nice restaurant also. The price for the room was fair too.
