Nice enough place but charged me twice so be warned!
Stayed here recently and its OK for a cheap / interesting stay. The staff were friendly and the room was OK just a bit dated and needing some updating etc but as I said it was cheap. The breakfast was decent enough better than most chains. My rating would have been higher but they charged me twice for the room once when I originally booked with Expedia and again when we arrived although they said I have paid so be WARNED!. Impossible to get any replies from there email etc so had to claim through credit card! Not good Parry Lodge !!!

Like stepping back in time!
We love staying at Parry Lodge! It is centrally located with a great restaurant right across the street. The rooms are clean and roomy. We love the fact that we can drive right up to our room. It's nice having chairs outside to enjoy the red rocks mountains that surround the area. Be sure to check out the movie in the old barn. The opening movie gives you a lot of history about the area and Parry lodge. If you are a western or Hollywood lover, this is the hotel for you.

Average is paying this place a compliment
So Kanab- if you find yourself in this little backwater place on your way to somewhere far more exciting then I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Decor is tired, the shower was poor and the pool area was pretty grimey.
Breakfast was a good spread and promotes the review to average. For a small town their are many hotels to choose from- choose one of those!!!

Not worth it
Would not stay here again. I like the idea of having a little suite to yourselves, but our room was not nice. I realize this is a very old hotel, I loved the character of old places, but it could be maintained better. Especially for the price....We paid $212 cad for one night. Walls were damaged and dirty. Had very tacky bedding that didn't seem completely cleanable. Breakfast was decent. Front desk kid seemed like he hated being there....not very pleasant.

Unless you are obsessed with old time western movie stars, I’d stay away from this lodge. The bathtub has stains from eons ago and there are dust bunnies under the bed. The in room coffee pot has to be on the floor to allow it to be plugged in (the outlet is not near it). The front office staff are impolite. While waiting to check in, I overheard guests calling to complain of leaks and lights not working. Altogether, I would NOT stay there ever again.
