We try to go to Ruby's Inn at least once a year. This property is fantastic, from the moment you walk through the front doors, you see this magical fireplace, which is just massive. The check in area has 30ft. ceilings with an amazing cabin feel to it. The front desk agents (Gale) are very nice. They go out of their way to make you feel like a king. The atmosphere is very family friendly. if you are tired from a long day, Ruby's has a terrific Jacuzzi & pool to relax. Ruby's Inn is right on the door-step to Bryce Canyon National Park, it's perfect. For families going to Bryce canyon National park, Ruby's is the perfect place to stay. Ruby's has an excellent breakfast included in the price of the hotel. You will not feel hungry, when you finish breakfast. The room are perfect, clean, large, everything you need. They have Wi-Fi, store in case you might of forgot something, this place is perfect, and you will enjoy the accommodations. Great job to the staff of Ruby's Inn. The only problem is we won't be able to get back to Ruby's Inn until next year.

Horrible, lumpy bed with springs pressing into your back

Unfortunately this hotel would deserve a 5, except one problem. The bed was awful. When we laid down we could feel the individual coils/springs pressing into us. Maybe it was just that room. But this hotel seems to have lost track of the most important thing - provide a comfortable mattress that is in good repair. Otherwise the hotel is charming. The free breakfast is probably the very best free breakfast I've ever had. The history of the hotel, the cleanliness, the location, etc. is all top notch. None of that matters much though when the bed is so bad you can't get a good nights sleep.

4.5 star for the area 2.5 star elsewhere

I struggled with this review. I am not someone who gives a 5 star if I had a decent experience or a 1 star if 1 thing goes wrong. This hotel is not spectacular in and of itself. But it does offer a spectacular location and a huge number of amenities and services. It is not for people looking for isolated peace and quiet. I will sat that there is no better location to stay near Bryce canyon "IF" you like socializing, activities not related purely to nature, and shopping. This hotel is basically a mini-city. It offers a gift shop, hiking shop, clothing, a grocery store, an indoor pool, a restaurant, a cafe, fuel, and is across the street from even more types of shops (ice cream, etc). For us we could spend the day in isolated nature, come back to the hotel and socialize, shop, and do other activities. We stayed during their "Winter Fest" and were glad we did. Other hotels in the area are closed or virtual ghost towns. Some people may like the peace and tranquility of an empty hotel, we do not. Ruby's was the center of activity. It was filled with an international crowd and people of all ages. We met people from Germany, Russia, Korea, Japan, China, Czech Republic and more. During Winter Fest they had activities like snowshoeing, cross country ski, nature talks, kayaking in their pool, and dozens more. Now on to the hotel itself. Location: Perfect. It is the closest hotel to Bryce Canyon, 1.3 miles straight down the road. Lobby: A pretty good looking lobby. Lots of logs, natural wood, wildlife, and more. It feels like you want it to feel. Rustic but nice. The hotel was BUSY when we were there (Mid February) but they had 5 check-in agents at the desk and we had our room in 10 minutes. 3.5 stars Service: The hotel was busy. The employees were efficient but not super friendly. Restaurant wait staff was adequate but not spectacular. Again it was very busy so perhaps at other times they are warmer. There was an amazing woman working in the gift shop who had the warmest smile and demeanor (young, pulled back black hair). Room: They offer a variety of room types I think. The hotel looks like it had expanded greatly over the years. We had what looks like a motel style room, but it was very nice. All fixtures were newer and clean. No dents, stains, or damage anywhere to be seen. It had a hot water machine, refrigerator, and microwave. They also provided an unusually large number of towels. Room was very clean. A very nice 2.5 stars. Amenities: This hotel offers EVERYTHING, literally. I was impressed they had a grocery section with fresh veggies, and all supplies. It was really fully stocked from basic cooking ingredients to pet food, to pre-made and frozen meals. They also have microwaves for people to heat up these meals in the store. They also have an outdoor section with name brand clothing like North Face, plus hiking shoes, outdoor knives and gear, etc. It was all quality name brand gear, not some cheap junk. The gift shop did offer a lot of cheap trinkets to buy like magnets and postcard though. The hotel offers a nice sized indoor heated pool, but it was very busy when we were there. They have an entire building dedicated to a self service coin laundry so one could easily wash their clothes when there. They also have a business center with computers and printers as well as a decent fitness center. The hotel is also the center of many activities. If you can do it in the Bryce Canyon area, Ruby's seems to offer an option. They Bryce Canyon shuttle bus also stops at ruby's and will take you into the park itself. Food: This is the one are we felt let down. The main restaurant was not great. The food was generally mass produced. At breakfast you were given a buffet with scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, and french toast. The hash browns were pre-made frozen ones in the shape of sticks and the sausage also seemed pre-cooked. It just seemed to lack selection. It was basic but filling so it can be forgiven. Dinner was a bigger disappointment. Not much spice or seasoning on anything other than salt and pepper. It was $22.49 per person and everything was of the same note, meat & potatoes. Fried and salty. The one exception was a decent fried noodle. It was ok food but seemed pricey for what you got. My wife ordered off the menu and got the Trout which was actually pretty good, but it was $21 and only came with 1 side dish. They need to add an additional side dish to their a la carte menu and add some Mexican and/or Asian dishes on to the buffet (something with some spice/flavor). Barring that prices need to be lowered a bit. TLDR If you want to enjoy Bryce Canyon when you want but like to socialize and do a variety of activities and shopping there is no better place to stay at Bryce Canyon. If you want to commune with nature the entire time this isn't the place for you.

We arrived at the restaurant at 20.50 for a meal .The5 staff members stared at as like we had a elephant on our head, eventually one gestured we follow her to a table ,no words were spoken she just tapped the table and went. Our server came and took the order my medium steak turned up 10 minutes later very very rare.when our bill came they had automatically added 18 percent service/top charge .We were very tired but looking back wish i had complained. The room was ok but as on other reviews the bathroom/toilet plumbing made strange noises. If you like to be rudely treated this is your ideal hotel

Good situation, So clean, So kindness

We were visit there for just only sleep a night, because the time was so late. So I thought we just need to stay one night, but the room was so clean and clerk was very friendly. And then we made a reservation one more night.
