Two nights in Whitefish
I teetered between Firebrand and the new Hampton but went to this hotel because of its proximity to downtown dining and shops. Our two rooms were nice, clean and well appointed. The hotel itself was close to the main area of downtown shopping. A few things though. First, the only bottled water available in the building was the room temperature bottles that sat on the desk next to all the ‘for purchase’ items. There was no water at front desk. There are no vending machines so there also was no canned soda anywhere in building and we had to drive to get both. We were traveling and needed to wash our clothes yet there was no laundry in the hotel nor anything close (I drove 12 miles out of my way to find a nice laundromat). But most importantly and most worrisome was when my husband and our friend went to use the gym at 8:00 this morning there were no cleaning wipes, no disinfectant and no hand sanitizer anywhere. He said it looked like there had been but it was empty. I would have thought in these scary times of Covid that the hotel staff would be extraordinarily diligent in keeping these items available. Because if this most of all, though I rarely give a 4 star review, I can’t say this was a 5 star stay.

Everything was just right!
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Firebrand. The rooms were large, comfortable, and the beds were very relaxing. The bathrooms were well designed. The staff was friendly, informative and professional. And the room rate was very reasonable.

Great Place to Stay
Location in downtown Whitefish is close to so many cute shops, restaurants, and bars. The Firebrand has an excellent breakfast menu , so no need to go out in the snow and cold early in the morning. Our room was very clean, spacious, and quiet. The holiday decorations were tasteful and mood enhancing. The hotel is only a two block walk from the snow bus that goes up to Big Mountain ski resort every 20 minutes. We’ll definitely be back next winter.

The Firebrand is a great little hotel in the heart of Whitefish. Great staff, comfortable fireplace seating, nice rooms and a 14 person rooftop hot tub with a terrific view of the mountains. Would recommend for anyone looking for a getaway in any season.

Wonderful STAFF and STAY
Enjoyed 2 stays a week apart at the Firebrand. The hotel is modern, clean, and has its own restaurant. The location is great for strolling the very-walkable downtown where one finds plenty of additional restaurant choices as well as boutiques and shops with lots of interesting offerings. Bus stops for rides up the mountain also are nearby.
On site, you can book a massage (Kiai was excellent, providing a deep tissue, 80 minute session) or head up to the roof, featuring fire pits, the hot tub and lovely views of the mountains. The hotel offers free shuttle service to and from the airport, took a box to UPS for me, and arranged shuttle service to/from ‘The Lodge on Whitefish Lake’ for lunch one day.
The absolute best of the hotel is Bethany, the front office manager. She and her staff are top-notch. Bethany succeeded in making our 2 stays perfect. We highly recommend this Firebrand Hotel if you’re planning a trip to Whitefish.
