The Gray Wolf is a truly great place to stay for visiting Yellowstone. Perfectly located next to the West park entrance, large rooms with very comfortable beds, a nice pool/spa and great service. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating for specials requests such as a crib for our 1-year old and recommendations for hiking trails. Good breakfast and the marshmallow roasting at the fire outside of the front entrance was a nice cherry on top, with howling wolves from the grizzly and wolf reservation across the street (nice to visit). Highly recommended!

Excellent -- immaculate, large room, helpful staff, 24 hr snacks.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite for 5 nights. The hotel exceeded the expectations I had based on others' reviews. First, it was immaculate. I don't just mean that it looked clean, though it did. I mean that I'm allergic to dust mites and didn't need medication once. I've stayed in hotels all over the country and world and that's literally the first time a room has been that clean. Next, it seems like someone gave real thought to how to make travelers' lives easier and then made those things happen. For example, laundry is free -- no bothering with quarters. Milk (and chocolate milk) and coffee and hot chocolate and snacks are available 24 hrs. The (small but nice) pool has floatie toys (noodles and the like) for the kids. There are airbeds available and you can get one in the room for free. In our case that allowed us to separate kids who have some... trouble... sleeping together on a pullout. Next, the staff is good. One person in particular stands out -- Krisan, the front desk supervisor. I had a problem with something at work and Krisan went out of her way to help me in a friendly and professional manner. She impressed me. And several staff members, including Krisan, seemed able to jump in to do numerous tasks around the place -- going from desk work to refilling breakfast supplies, without it seemed any thought that part of it wasn't their job. The room itself -- one bedroom apt., really -- was large and well-equipped. In fact it was larger and better equipped than the (even more expensive) place we stayed in our next location. Finally, there was one thing in reviews that almost had me pre-annoyed before we got there -- that the hotel leaves a stuffed-animal wolf on the bed and of course the children want to keep it. But it's not free, it costs around $16. But the thing is -- while I understand being annoyed at the contrivance / forced part of it (in fact my son adopted it within minutes of seeing it) -- the truth is the wolf is snuggy and adorable and $16 is a great deal for a souvenir in and around Yellowstone. That may not make it less manipulative, of course, but it should take the sting off because it's worth it.

Clean Rooms, Friendly Staff, Great Location

We stayed at Gray Wolf Inn with our family of 4 and had the best experience. The room was huge, and very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful with anything we needed! The indoor pool was perfect after a busy day out and about, and we were able to do laundry for free so we didn't have to travel with dirty clothes. The breakfast was great too. Plenty to choose from including hot options! Gray Wolf is located right in the heart of West Yellowstone so it's very easy to get anywhere, and right across the street is the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery center which is super fun for the kids. Also they have a fire pit out front with complimentary s'mores nightly. If I'm ever lucky enough to get back to West Yellowstone, I will definitely be booking at Gray Wolf again.

The property is well located, however the WiFi was terrible and was unusable most of the time which is especially bad when you are asked to pay a resort fee which covers this. The hotel was noisy so we didn’t get a great nights sleep, breakfast was ok. The hotel was very expensive, however this is down to it’s location only not the quality of service offered - consider other options before booking this.

Nice hotel a short drive the west entrance of Yellowstone. Also a short walk away from all the shops and restaurants in town and a Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center (which I recommend checking out while you're here). The included breakfast was so-so, nothing special. The egg and cheese taquitos were the best part. Rooms were cozy and comfortable. The fire pit out front was nice to sit by after a long day in the park. Definitely recommend for a close and comfortable stay by the park.
