Good Enough Stay In West Yellowstone

We had two book-end stays at the Stage Coach Inn before and after a trip into Yellowstone National Park. While not the most glamorous hotel, it had most everything we needed. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to grocery stores and restaurants. Even though the front-desk clerk failed to tell us about the underground garage for parking, we did find it on our own. It was very nice to unload and load the car out of the snowy elements. The room was above average and clean with a nice-sized refrigerator (with freezer) and microwave. The old-school lobby is filled with stuffed animals but is quite cozy with a roaring fireplace and games to play. Two downsides to staying here: 1) The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. It’s very sparse and cheaply put together; and 2) The inn is located on one of the main thoroughfares for snowmobiles so it’s very loud. And, there were lots of lots of snowmobilers! The Stage Coach Inn was good enough for this trip, but not sure we’d make a return visit. There are other hotels that might offer a few more amenities for close to the same price.

Great staff, very helpful!! Clean rooms, great breakfast. I absolutely loved the heated garage it was a lifesaver in the winter storm we experienced. We enjoyed playing cards in the lobby area with the other friendly guest. We will definitely book again!!

Great location with easy travel to Big Sky and surrounding area. Staff was very friendly. Stagecoach Inn had a rustic charm about it. The breakfast was basic fare of waffles, yogurt, pastries, bagels, cereal and typical drinks. Grocery store across street.

Pleasant hotel, breakfast should be offered earlier than 7.

Nice lobby and rooms. Friendly staff. One drawback is that breakfast only opens at 7am. Many people visiting West Yellowstone, certainly photographers, are at the park entrance at 7. Breakfast should open earlier than 7. We had to go across the street to the market and buy food to eat in the room. Similarly the fitness center only opens at 7 whereas most hotels are 24/7.

Pleasure trip an not disappointed.

We stayed in a duplex king room. This hotel is very clean and homey. They have nice washing machines and a nice free breakfast. We sat by the fire every night and played cards in the lobby. I will stay there again.
