Great jacuzzi, beautiful setting, charming feel
Ended up staying here 4 nights which is way longer than I usually stay anywhere, and I usually don't write reviews but because of wedding-related logistics we were in 3 different rooms so I got a good feel for the place. While all rooms were charming there are definitely differences among them. The northernmost, second floor rooms with private balcony and fireplace are the best, though the fireplace use instructions are less than comprehensive. The southern grouping of rooms, all on ground level with nice sliding door and porch, have the outdated bathrooms.
-right on the two-lane highway
-free, tasty cookies in your room
-good complimentary breakfast as far as those things go, passable for vegans but only if you're down with bread and fruit
-nice bar and happy hour
-wine tasting room that i didn't experience but looked nice
-beautiful outdoor lawn adjacent to shallow Gallatin river
-minutes from boundary of yellowstone (though far from main park entrance)
-hiking trail directly across the river
- Value: 4
- Sleep Quality: 4
- Service: 4

Beautiful Lodge in a gorgeous area
We stayed in a lodge room with a queen bed and fireplace, it was nice and cozy, with a balcony that led out to the grassy area, where you found the stream running. Even though is right the highway it was very quiet. They have an infinity hot tub that wonderful and close to the rooms. The continental breakfast could be a little more. I have one bad thing to say that the bathrooms are a little outdated and need an upgrade.
Overall, a gorgeous place to stay for a week, or weekend..

We spend 1 night at Rainbow Ranch Lodge. The rooms were rustic and comfortable, the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the food was top notch. The Lodge is located near the river and mountains with great views. I would highly recommend this place.

Room rebooked with no explanation
Planned a visit to Montana with some girlfriends. Picking between two totally opposite sides of Montana and chose to stay at Rainbow Ranch Lodge because of the amenities; riverside room with a private deck and an in room fireplace! Looked very cozy. Upon check in were told that they switched our room without asking. No riverside, no fireplace. No other rooms available. No apology from the manager Ryan for the mishap only offered to minorly discount the room and continued to say “I don’t know what to tell you”. I understand these are all very first world problems but when you book a hotel for the amenities you expect to arrive and enjoy the amenities. Overall disappointed with the experience with the manager and the handling of our booking. How do you change our booking to a completely different experience room and not apologize. Also pretty desolate for where we are staying so not many other options to chose from when we tried to chose a different hotel with similar amentities and similar price range. Food was also very mediocre. Would categorize this as a 2-3/5 Star lodging.

Awesome Lodge-Great Setting
My wife and I stayed at the Rainbow Ranch Lodge while on two week vacation. Great facility overlooking the Gallatin River. Staff was courteous and professional. The morning breakfast was tasty and fresh each morning. The beer selection reflected local breweries and is something I enjoyed. Rooms were just awesome, we stayed in the Osprey while there.
