Great rooms, great staff, and fantastic meals...

River access and walking/snowshoeing/backcountry skiing trails just a short walk across the bridge. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The complimentary continental breakfast was absolutely fantastic! The breakfast chef, Ian, was a delight to chat with and the food was outstanding! Ian changes the breakfasts up each morning and they are truly a great way to start each day. Great location for exploring the BIg Sky area and the West entrance area to Yellowstone. Highly recommended!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the whole thing very enjoyable. The accommodation is first class and we had a deluxe lodge room. Great view our over the gardens and river. The only very minor down side is that the place has no AC (they do have fans in the rooms) and there is a relatively busy highway out front. These are minor issues. The on site Wild Caddis restaurant (reviewed separately) is a huge bonus.

Poorly maintained and overpriced

The furniture look cheap. The outdoor hot tub is very large but the jets don’t work. The staff seems to do the bare minimum. Breakfast starts at 8, which is already kind of late for a ski town, and when we were there it was another 10 minutes late. It wasn’t good either. Overall, not worth $500 a night, especially for a hotel which is in the middle of nowhere.

So disappointing

Website a total misrepresentation . Sits rights on the road with traffic noise all night. So overpriced for experience- go elsewhere.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Provide great service. Shower leaked and flooded the bathroom with each use. Room sat on the interstate. There is no AC or fans but leaving the window open for some air resulted in no sleep with trucks and cars driving by. Request went unanswered and overlooked. Problems are not fixed. The Ugly - we never once interacted with any member of the team other than the Front Desk Attendant. Management never made an attempt to assist, greet or help us and it is a very small hotel. Maybe a great location for a buyout wedding but not for a transient/tourist guest.
