I could have accepted all the issues with the stay if the staff were more helpful, or friendly. There were a couple of nice people, one in the B.A. gift shop, and one at the Mazerek food court. All the rest of the people at the Bright Angel and El Tovar need some customer service training! I booked thru the hotel directly. I knew everything was not up and running, tours, restaurants etc, because of COVID. I asked if there were restaurants open in the hotel. The girl booking my room said yes we have 2 open. Upon arrival I was told they had nothing open we had to go to near by El Tovar for dinner. Ok I can live with that. The only problem was when we got there there was a 50 minute wait for dinner because it was the only restaurant open! In the morning they did not even offer coffee. We had to go to the El Tovar or Mazerek food court. All of this would have been nice to know before we booked. Also, and most Important, the is NO AC at the Bright Angel. This also would have been nice to know. I did not see this on the website, or anywhere! Not the best choice for a July stay!

A pleasant surprise

We originally wanted to stay wanted to stay at El Tovar, but we could't get a room for our length of stay. We booked a partial canyon-view cabin, and we could not have been happier. Our location was AWESOME. We had a full view of the canyon from our window, and we also had a huge rock formation in front of our cabin where we would just sit and enjoy the view. I cant remember the number of our cabin, but we definitely had the best view of the dozen or so cabins that had a rim view -- no obstruction from tress. We were slightly elevated above the walkway so it felt a little more private. We were perhaps 30 feet from the rim. There was plenty of space within the cabin and it was very modern and clean. I am so glad that we stayed here instead of the much more expensive El Tovar.

I absolutely loved my cabin #6159. Spacious and rustic looking room with a comfortable bed and separate bathroom. We also had a television and mini fridge. We had the corner room that looked right out into the Grand Canyon. My wife and I traveled for a week in Utah prior to visiting Arizona. All together we ended up staying at six different hotels/lodges and this was by far our favorite. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Check in and out was super easy. The price of the cabin was the same if not cheaper than hotels outside the park. I can’t imagine not wanting to stay at this place. I loved it. We already said we want to do another trip and stay in these cabins.

October 2019 Stay

My husband & I stayed here in October of 2019 & while we were only there for 1 night, we loved every minute of it. We stayed in one of the lodges with the shared bathrooms, & the bathrooms were very clean & private. The rooms were super cozy & well equipped with a sink, Keurig, and mini fridge. While we always enjoy our stays inside of National Park lodges, this was one of our favorites. Being able to walk right out to the rim from your lodge was amazing, at sunrise, sunset, or anytime of the day. An absolutely breathtaking experience. We hope to come back one day soon!

Quaint Cabins on the Rim of Grand Canyon

Visited in March so crowds were not an issue like in summer. Our cabin was quaint and cozy, on the end, vice on the rim. Decorated nicely, lots of windows. Small refrigerator in the room, along w/ a small coffee pot with coffee and teas in the room. Shower stall pretty small, but, nice and clean. We were asked at check-in if we needed daily service and we declined service as we don't change towels at home every day wither. We were told to call if we needed anything like coffee or toiletries. We were good to go. Since we did this, first morning we were given 2 plastic water bottles to use around the park. We loved staying here and the easy access it gave us to the park, rim trails, and bus service.
