The Pines at Island Park is a small cabin community that offers an awesome experience for people visiting Yellowstone. It's about a 40 minute drive to the West Entrance, but outside of camping or staying inside the park, you can't do much better. Dana set us up in a 2 bedroom cabin, where we had an awesome hot tub, and plenty of room to spread out for our 6 people. The cabin was stocked with necessities like toilet paper and laundry detergent. They even lent us their can of bear spray while staying there. They have Dish Network TV, just FYI. The fireplace came in handy for the snowy night we had, my only caution would be for those with small babies, there's no real good way to keep them from using the stairs and they also didn't have any cribs, so you'll have to bring your own. We simply bought a pack and play from target on our drive in and returned it at the end of our trip.

We chose this location because it is super close to Yellowstone (30 minutes to west Entrance). Also went to grand teton national park which was about 2-2 1/2 hours away. Super quiet and private area. All cabins have trees out front for privacy. The do have a restaurant onsite but we didn't get a chance to eat there. The owner was super friendly and helpful. The cabins were beautiful. We got the one bedroom with a full kitchen. It also had a loft with a full bed. There was a hot tub on our porch witch was wonderful to use every night. Grill on the porch. Overall this was a great place to stay.

Spent four nights at The Pines at Island Park, in a two bedroom log cabin in the woods of Idaho. Cabin had a hot tub on exterior deck. Cost only slightly more than a regular motel room in West Yellowstone MT. Will stay here next time we visit Yellowstone.

We really enjoyed our stay in Island Park. Close to the water, and not far from West Yellowstone. Plenty to do for everyone, every day of our time away. Being back in the trees really gives the illusion of being far away from everything. Much needed relaxation.
