Stopped to find a Montana magnet for my collection, surprisingly hard to find when close to Yellowstone. The staff was friendly, they had the magnet I was searching for and much more. Reccomend a stop to check it out when exiting Yellowstone

Excellent place to stay and very kind and friendly staff

Stayed in the Back Cabin with my wife and two college age kids. This is a great place, and the staff is so friendly and kind. This is our second year staying here and we will continue to be back. Great location to stay with the park border 1 mile away into the Lamar Valley where , bison, moose, antelope, bears and wolves are. We have seen them all in this valley. The place has a small store with snacks, and souvenirs along with scope rentals. Satellite internet is available at the store. They have chairs and benches outside so you can access it. At over 7000 feet this place is cool in the summer months. Enjoyed our stay here.

We had a family cabin for me and my two kids. It had bunk beds & kitchen in front room and queen bed in the back room with bathroom adjacent. It had a BBQ grill and a fire pit. No WiFi was a nice change of pace for my kids and made them happy to go to bed early and wake up early to check out the wildlife in the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone!! Getaway from crazy life and stay here!!!

Our family of 5 had the best time! Cabins are simple and well-equipped. Fire pits were perfect for S’mores and quality time outside. Loved no TVs and limited WiFi. Perfect location and charming are. Will return.

Pristine beauty untouched by the world's chaos

Silver Gate is by far the most magical place I've ever visited in the United States. The wildlife was unbeatable: much better than any campground I've stayed at in Yellowstone. And the wild humans were all so welcoming. Chris made sure we had everything we needed each day, including the best coffee I've ever had in a country store, and the staff were very respectful and mindful of the need for "social distancing" and were vigilant about sanitization without making the environment feel in any way sterile. Luckily, there's no shortage of space both inside the cabins or around the so-called town, so it's easy to chat with the locals and hear about what it's like to live there year-round. I'll be back in September to see what it looks and feels like in the fall!
