Large Property with Beautiful Lobby and Exterior
This was our "home" while visiting Glacier Nat'l Park for three nights. I really felt the hotel looked like it was made to fit in with the area with a a lodge-like feel in the lobby. We booked well in advance of our trip, so the rate was one of the better rates for the area, but still high due to summer travel season.
It's important to note the distance to Glacier! It took us at least 30-45 minutes to reach the West entrance to the park from the hotel. To visit the East side, you can add another 2hrs onto that, so round trip, you'll have around 5hrs invested driving. That said, Kalispell is a nice town and there are many restaurants and large stores nearby.
We didn't really use any amenities on site as we were on the go. Breakfast was the standard hotel breakfast - just OK for me. The swimming pool was closed when we were there but had no plans to use it.

Continental Breakfast Sub Par
We arrived last night, Dec 27th to a beautiful inn. Rooms were clean, the beds were extremely comfortable and the pool and hot tub area was clean and tidy.
The breakfast this morning, which was served until 9:30 was extremely disappointing. We arrived at 8:45 and they were completely out of pancake batter and there was no hot water for tea. I asked the lady working in the kitchen for more hot water and 15 minutes later she finally refilled it.
We have stayed at a number of places with continental breakfasts and while we don't expect the quality of the food to be great, we do expect it to be restocked quickly, especially when a guest specifically asks for something.
I hope tomorrow morning is better. I’ll be back to let you know if they redeem themselves.

Unlike any other HIE
Hotel is a unique HIE property! Lobby & breakfast room is Montana welcoming. Have first floor rooms with 2nd room door directly to outside. Yes, it is located in a retail commercial area, with power lines and abutting expressway, but what HIE isn't?! Stay at HIE properties whenever in locale of my travels and this is one of best on my list. Location to Kalispell city center, Glacier Park & Airport and surrounding area is most convenient. (Have immediate family in Kalispell so know importance of drive convenience for lodging--this hotel is it!!)

Nice place with unmotivated reception staff
I have become a big fan of Montana after two recent trips there. This property is a short walk from a bunch of stores and a good brew pub. I must say that the room was fine but the reception staff was the most apathetic group I have seen at a US hotel. Of course, you do not have to deal with them frequently so you should be fine.

A Nice, New Holiday Inn Express off the Highway
This hotel is set about two blocks away from Hwy 93 and is very quiet.* There are several restaurants and some chain stores within two blocks. It's just your usual Holiday Inn Express as far as the rooms and amenities go.
