Views and sound of water right outside our room were amazing. Actual room and bathroom were not the cleanest, not a lot of options for kids to eat near by. Very unique landscape, watching elk and white water rafters right from our room.

Great place to stay!
We stayed at Absaroka lodge during the visit to Yellowstone national park. It's close to several destination spots, restaurants, right by the north entrance. Great view of the river from balcony. We enjoy the stay.

Can't go wrong with a stay here
This was my third stay here. Front desk folks are friendly and helpful, location cannot be beat, rooms have been upgraded and new carpet layed since my last visit in 2016, and I felt comfortable. You can easily walk to everything in Gardiner from here and all rooms look out onto the roaring Gardner River (note: the town is Gardiner but the river's proper spelling is Gardner). Some rooms have kitchens.

We were the last to check in for the night. Front desk person was very helpful. Only complaints were the bugs...but you are on the side of a river so I guess that is to be expected. The door to go down to our room was difficult to open. Wish we had more time to stay here.

Beautiful view of the Yellowstone River!
The room was small, but the beds were comfortable and the view was stunning! We watched a heard of Elk trek along the opposite side of the river through yards and back in through town and that was perfect for our first night of our trip!
