Loved the peaceful surroundings and the unique setup of the accommodations. The tub was stained, the sofa cushions were stained. There was no dish soap to clean the glasses or coffee pot provided. Although the restaurant was advertised as being a top rated steak house our steaks were over cooked and dry. The cheesecake was delicious.

4th time here and stayed in a Bungalow unit. As always enjoyed it and found it so relaxing. This time I was able to snag a reservation in the restaurant and it was delicious. When I stayed last year I had sense the new owners were having some growing pains with the expansion and all the changes to the property, but they seem to have everything mastered now (April is awesome!) and I enjoyed my stay as much as when Dixie was running the place. I look forward to my 5th stay.

We stayed in a tree house in May. It was pretty cold and the only heater was unreasonably loud. They kindly brought us a quieter heater. I think if the weather had been better this would be a great place to stay but we couldn’t use the balcony or the fire pit. The room itself is cute but small and with no hob we couldn’t really cook breakfast or unpack much. The best bit about this property is the restaurant. We had amazing food and particularly enjoyed the trout and steaks. I would recommend this place but with hindsight would have preferred a larger room with a hob! Was envious of the people with hot tubs! Saw cute jack rabbits.

secluded and luxurious accommodations, but somewhat lacking in level of service

We stayed in a bungalow for two nights in April. What's really good: -in sharp contrast to the crowds at nearby Bryce Canyon National Park, this place feels very secluded. Great when you've had just about enough human interaction for one day. -Bungalow is very big for 2 people, fireplace is nice for the colder months, very large bathroom and the shower had a steaming feature which was WILD! -the restaurant is very good. Ate there both nights that we were staying at the property. If we had stayed more nights, would have eaten there more nights too! What's average: -the view's alright. Mostly trees and shrubs in one direction. Other direction is possible to see some canyon walls in the distance. Nothing jaw-dropping, but pleasant! Definitely better than looking at a parking lot or a road or something like that. -the front office is only open for check-in and check-out, so it's more of a self-serve style of accommodation What's not-so-good: -we had a housekeeping issue during our stay. When you check in, there are instructions provided that say if you want daily housekeeping, you need to hang a card provided on your door (before 11am if I remember correctly) indicated that you want housekeeping that day. We followed the instructions and hung the card on the door in the morning, however when we returned to our room in the evening it had not been serviced. The front desk of the hotel is only open during check-in and check-out hours, so we didn't even know where to go to get the supplies we needed (shampoo, coffee, etc). It turns out that the owners also run the restaurant on site (very tasty restaurant - see above!), so when we went for dinner we met them and notified them of the lack of housekeeping that day. The response was polite and apologetic, however had the tone of: "what do you need? a shampoo bottle? a coffee pack? here you go - problem 100% solved!" ...well no, the problem isn't really solved because I paid you a good chunk of money with the expectation I'd get to stay in a fresh clean hotel room serviced daily. I'd like to come home to a room that's had the trash taken out and has a freshly made bed thank you very much! ...will you be coming to my room to make my bed at 9:30pm? No? Didn't think so.... Overall I still enjoyed my stay here, but I would have been happier if they had taken the housekeeping issue more seriously.

Thin walls! Noisy heating/ cooling system

We gave this place average since there were several positives about the room: the bed is comfortable, it was clean, and it had a lovely bath, there is a restaurant attached that is very good although costly. The negatives, however, outweigh the positives: extremely loud heating/cooling unit, the walls are super thin and we could hear our neighbours ( they weren’t overly loud but we could hear their television, the shower, when they flushed their toilet). This is a more costly place to stay and we feel we would have gotten a much better more tranquil sleep elsewhere! Save your money.
