My family of four, including two kids, stayed at the Stone Canyon Inn in August and found this to be a beautiful remote location in view of Bryce Canyon. The cabin is nice, but we found the bedding and beds uncomfortable. The air conditioning was great, and the aesthetics were great, but my kids didn’t sleep well on the Murphy bed. Also, there is no sink in the kitchenette, yet they have a microwave and refrigerator. The location was great, and it was nice to be a bit away from Bryce City. Overall it was a good experience, and I would especially recommend it to groups of no more than 2 or 3 people.

I finally got around to signing up to TripAdvisor and even though it’s been a year since my family stayed here, I wanted to take the time to post a review as this hotel was one of the highlights of a month long road trip to the US for us. We stayed in a treehouse which was amazing (spotlessly clean with kitchenette and fridge, microwave and shower room and outside hammock seats and fire pit) and so peaceful (great for stargazing and wildlife spotting) - my boys still remember it fondly and often express a desire to return one day! The on site guest house also has rooms and an excellent restaurant which again is outstanding and served the best steak I’ve ever eaten! Stay here - you won’t regret it I’m sure. Also check out Mecham Outfitters in central Tropic just down the road for first class horse trekking in amazing slot canyons.

Off the beaten path, super quiet, a great stopover between Bryce and Capitol Reef National Parks. Our little cabin was very private and clean, with great wifi. There were gorgeous features (e.g.: the suspended bed and woodwork on the ceiling) but there were also a few small maintenance issues (e.g.: towel rack at fallen off the wall and not been repaired). The dinner was locally sourced and the steak was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Simple but nice wine list. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.

Secluded and peaceful
We stayed in a treehouse. It was my husband and two sons. Loved being secluded and having such a fantastic view. Upon arrival the room was very clean. Loved having the two swing chairs below our treehouse and the fire pit. Reason why I’m not giving it five stars is because there really should be a table inside for eating. There wasn’t anything but the chairs on the patio and a small cocktail table. With just removing one of the chairs in the corner inside they could’ve easily put in a small table with at least two chairs. Or they should have made the tree house just a few feet larger. They have a kitchenette but nowhere to eat!

Beautiful property, great location for Bryce and Escalante
We stayed in room 31 which is one of the “tree house” properties. It was wonderful. Roomy, nicely appointed, super clean. But the real highlights are the balcony on the upper level and the hammocks on the lower level, both of which face the mountains and beautiful scenery you came to the area for. We had breakfast on the balcony each day and it was silent and scenic. Hammocks are very handy post-hiking. The property is laid out in a really nice way creating some separation between the various buildings you can stay in. It’s a 15 min drive to Bryce Canyon and 45ish to various popular hiking spots in Escalante. And it’s 2 mins down the road to the main street in Tropic which has the grocery store and a few casual restaurants.
