Our tour group stopped at Majestic View Lodge for a private light buffet luncheon. This was one of the better buffet luncheons we had on our tour. The food was well prepared. We ate in Arkansas Al' Steakhouse and Saloon's space We have reviewed Arkansas Al's Steakhouse for the two dinners we had there.

Perfect setting to get into Zion, shuttle right outside. We had a room on each side of road. One near pool overlooking the mountains. Shame pool was closed. Rooms were large, clean and had a nice rustic feel. Stayed for two nights. I believe the restaurant is run separately. Breakfast was mediocre. Staff were nice but they are understaffed and therefore service was very slow. So I would say whole experience was good but not very good.

Good, but...

There is a lot to like about staying at the Majestic View Lodge. One is that view really is majestic. Our room, #110, had a deck facing the road and, across it, a view of the area's spectacular mountains. Many of the rooms share this view, but not all of them. So if that is important, have a conversation with the desk before arriving. The rooms that don't are those on the first floor of the building on the other side of the parking lot and towards the right (nearer the office) facing the that building. The road was close to our deck, but there was no noise to speak of. Not that the building on the inside of the lot has two floors, and there is not elevator. You have to walk up some stairs to get to the building, then more stairs to your room if it is on the second level. The room itself was good sized, clean, and comfortable with a good easy chair. But there were a few shortcomings. There was no microwave in it, nor were there any USB connections. There were, however, plenty of sockets to plug your own 110v charger into. The location is good for easy access to Zion National Park, just a few miles from the entrance. Better yet, there is a shuttle bus stop directly across the road that will take you to the park. This will be especially important during the park's busy summer months when the somewhat limited parking in the part fills up early. The staff was friendly and helpful. They were having a bit of a problem with their credit card reader, which could have delayed checking in. But they just gave us the key card to the room and said to come back later to wrap things up. There was coffee in the lobby in the morning. Get it there rather than in the restaurant. An oddity is that even though the restaurant is only a few feet from the free coffee station, if you go into the restaurant they charge you for coffee. Go figure! As for the food there, it was OK, but nothing special and, we thought, overpriced. I would eat elsewhere.

Majestic View Lodge is just miles from the main entrance to Zion National Park. The rooms are clean, cozy and comfortable. Beautiful mountains await you when you open the blinds in your room or you can enjoy the spectacular view from the attached and private patio.

Nice view, not so nice room

Tidy outside environment and great view but they get "f" for light pollution. Couldn't see the stars because of parking lot lights. And then there's the room. Stale smelling room along with the most hideous overhead Bright ceiling light. Oh, and the a/c noise...like a spaceship taking off in an old sci-fi movie. Pool area looks nice. Lots of large stuffed wildlife in hotel gift shop. Kind of a turnoff for us. Agree with other revie of close but no cigar.
