Loved the room and a great view. The prices were more than reasonable.. A great weekend. We were in town for our best friends 50th wedding anniversary and had some folks join us for after dinner drinks they all loved the room and a great view of the mountains.

Stayed one night before venturing into Zion. Our room was very modern and clean with an amazing mountain view. The price was very reasonable in comparison to other lodging in town. Only downside was on site restaurant was closed during our stay for renovations.

Broken Smoke Detector and poor service
It is rare that I will write a poor review on a property but I had to write this one. My husband and I stayed at the Majestic on 12/26 and 27. We were coming from the Grand Canyon. We had an extra long drive to Zion due to road closures so arrived exhausted at 7:30pm. The first night we woke up at 2:37am to the chirping of our smoke detector.. I had to climb up on a chair to unplug it from the wall. That did not stop the chirping, neither did removing the battery. Finally I put it outside. Needless to say there was not much sleep after that episode.
The light outside our door also did not work. Since our room door faced the back of the hotel it made the outside hall very dark.
When I went to the front desk the next morning to report both problems to the "supervisor" the first thing he said to me was, "we have 24 hour assistance" as though I had done something wrong in not reporting this incident earlier. There was no apology. When I requested to speak to a manager he told me that I had to email the GM, Eric Shorr. I emailed Eric on 12/27. I thought giving the GM the benefit of the doubt for a late response to my email due to a holiday vacation was fair. As of 1/7/20 I have not heard back with an apology for poor maintenance. At check out neither items had been fixed. I was told by the front desk staff that the maintenance man was coming on 12/28.
It was quite obvious to us that safety and customer service is the priority at the Majestic View Lodge.

Nice looking exterior and and happy with the room
Website says restaurant on site. It wont be open until at least Spring. No breakfast offered. No elevators Has a small store and gift shop as well as museum and the last shuttle stop outside of town. It was a very busy week after Christmas so taking a shuttle thru the park was necessity. We chose to park at the visitor center and waited about 45 minutes to get on a shuttle. We were on first floor and had a small patio with double door from the room. Anyone on the patio can see into the room from openings on the sides of the blinds on the doors and window. No total privacy available.

Everything has already been said about this lodge. It's great. The facilities. The view. Utah is so beautiful we could live there. Easy parking in front of your appartment. Nice little swimmingpool only a few steps away which comes with a view on the colorfull mountains. Lovely.
