VERY noisy location right on a busy road and opposite a train station. But there was a sound machine and earplugs in each bedroom, which helped immensely. And we closed our windows too. Otherwise, it’s a very charming place to stay.

Good location relative to Glacier. Trains could be annoying to sleep but we normally sleep with fans on anyways so it was a non-issue for us. Stayed in the Clarke cabin, great value for the private space. Restaurant on-site was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

Our stay at the Belton Chalet was so delightful that we managed to secure the last available room, prompting us to extend our visit for another night after spending time on the east side of Park. Two distinct aspects of the Belton Chalet continue to resonate with me: 1. The moment we stepped foot into this historic establishment, it felt as though we had been transported back in time to an era of travel that was deeply intertwined with the railroad. It was fascinating to contemplate the origins of this place and how it was closely tied to the heyday of passenger trains in the early 1900s. The same sense of wonder that must have greeted travelers back then seemed to envelop us, making our stay even more enchanting. 2. The dining experience at the Belton Chalet truly elevated our visit. The restaurant's romantic ambiance, coupled with the culinary talents in the kitchen, made it an easy decision to return for a second evening of dining. We couldn't resist the allure of the beautiful working fireplace and, anticipating the cozy warmth it would provide, we made our reservation a day in advance, specifically requesting a fireside table. It was a delightful surprise to find it waiting for us when we arrived that evening. It's these thoughtful touches that leave a lasting impression and enhance the overall charm of this charming establishment.

We stayed here for 4 nights on a recent trip to Glacier NP. Room was clean when we arrived, and bed was comfortable. Given the historic nature of the building, expect small rooms (with small baths), and more noise than ususal. Little room for our suitcases. Coffee & danish in the morning was appreciated, as were earplugs. Loved having a balcony as we decided on beautiful afternoon we just needed to sit and relax. Parking lot filled up at night so not sure if there is enough parking spaces for rooms available?

The Belton is a quaint historic hotel that gives all the feels. We were pleased when entering the room and feeling as if we stepped back in time, but with luxury. The rooms are small, but adequate for the purpose. We loved our view from our balcony and the time we were able to take in fresh air. It didn't bother us, but if you are concerned much about room security, be aware the locks aren't much, especially compared to most hotel standards. We also love the rumble of a train, but it can be disruptive during sleep. Conveniently The Belton provides ear plugs for the guests! And if you are squeamish about ghost stories, beware there is a history. Location was ideal! Just a few minutes from the park entrance so we could come and go easily. There aren't many options for food and the 2 restaurants in town were pricey, but we also visited after the season so we limited other options normally available. Overall we loved our stay and would absolutely come back!
